The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribal Natural Resources Department mission is to manage, protect, and conserve the natural resources within the exterior boundaries of the Flathead Indian Reservation as well as the aboriginal territory of the Selis’ Qlispe and Ksanka people for future generations.

Our Work
The Natural Resources Department is proud to serve the CSKT membership by conserving, managing, and protecting the natural resources for current and future generations. Our department includes such programs that protect the environment in which we live, the fish and wildlife resources in which we use for sustenance and first foods as well as the camp grounds or recreational opportunities in which we enjoy with our families, friends, and neighbors. We also manage and construct dams, roads, irrigation projects, and monitor the water resources. As well as protection the environment with our Air and Water Quality Programs, Shoreline Protection, Brownfield and Solid Waste.
