Good Hotel to stay at in Lonavala

VITS Lonavala is a relatively New Property which was originally known as Sukkur Bhavan and has been recently acquired by VITS and refurbished by them. It is located on the main Old Mumbai-Pune Highway just before the Varsoli Toll Plaza when you are driving from Lonavala to Karla, so you need to take the Karla/Lonavala 2nd Exit when driving on the Expressway from Mumbai, as it is located just off this exit. Google Maps will guide you correctly. The location is good, as even though it is a bit secluded, it is not too far from the main Lonavala Market & ST Stand Area, but you do need to have your own Vehicle if you intend to visit places. It is a Decent 2 Storied Hotel with 39 Rooms (including a few Duplex Suites), Ample Parking with Proper Security, a Fairly Large Swimming Pool with a Demarcated Children’s Pool as well, a Hot Water Jacuzzi on the Terrace (which unfortunately is in a Complete State of Disrepair with No Plans to make it Operational), a Poolside Open Air Restaurant, 24x7 Front Desk, a Decent Sized Lawn and 1 Table Tennis Table & 1 Carrom Board in the Restaurant Area. There is however no Gym or Fitness Center. The Hotel is Stylishly Designed, Well Constructed and Very Well Maintained too, which is a Major Plus Point. They have Ample Staff who regularly clean all areas of the Hotel including the Compound, Parking Areas, etc, which is Truly Remarkable for a Hotel of its size. All the Staff are also Well Trained, Courteous and Very Hospitable as well. The Lobby is Very Spacious and Welcoming and despite being a Hotel of just 2 Floors, they even have a Small Elevator, which is very good for Senior Citizens and for carrying your Luggage as well. The Rooms are Large and Very Well Furnished. Every room has a Small Balcony, but it is really too small to sit out and enjoy. There is also a Flat Screen TV with Tata Sky, an Electric Kettle with supplies, a Mini Fridge, a Wardrobe, a Sofa cum Single Bed, Center Table, Study Table with a Chair, Dressing Table with Mirror, Bed Side Tables and plenty of Electrical Points all over, which is really Very Convenient. The Washrooms are also good with 24x7 Solar Heated Hot Water and Biotique Toiletries. The Quality of the Beds, Furniture, Fittings, Mattresses, Pillows, Duvets and Linen is Excellent and is of a High Standard as Vits is generally known for, making your stay a Very Comfortable one. Unfortunately however, during our stay, the Breakfast served was not up to the mark – the variety was Very Limited with almost the same items offered every day and the Food was not Tasty, even though it was Freshly Prepared. On the first day, there was No Salt in any of the Breakfast Items, making them Totally Tasteless. After we provided this Feedback, this was not repeated, but still the Food Lacked Taste. Either the Chef was not present on all the 4 days of our stay, or the Chef is not good and needs to be changed, as the Food spoils an otherwise Excellent Experience at this Lovely Hotel. Also, the Swimming Pool does not appear to be Properly Cleaned and Chlorinated every day and the Water Circulation is not switched on, unless requested. On the 1st day, the Pool was Very Dirty and couldn’t be used. When we took this up with the Management and the Pool Cleaner, he cleaned it the next day around noon and we could use it thereafter. Other than these 2 Negative Points, our Stay was Very Comfortable and the Hospitality by the Staff was Excellent. Truly a Very Good Hotel to stay at in Lonavala and Quite Reasonably Priced as well, so Highly Recommended.

The food is very tasty. We enjoy it very much with our group... The staff are very friendly and cooperative specially ms. swara , ms barsha ,mr vikram and all are very helpful

It was good rooms . The swimming pool was clean and neat. All staff memerber were good in service and professinal.. thanks to manasvi . It was value for money staying here

Good budget hotel

Nice budget hotel to stay..staff is good ..however the hotel has the potential to improve its food varieties in the menus..there are limited options for breakfast and lunch or dinner ..parking is spacious but needs to be covered.. The room suites are spacious but not planned properly .needs some refurbishing..the furniture is old and needs a change..hence said..it's good budget hotel but has a potential for improvement..
