I can hardly believe it has almost been one year since I moved from California to Texas. During that move, I called on past moving experience, advice from friends, and did a lot of research. I shared one of my favorite moving tips (which by the way kept me pretty darn organized once we got to Texas and started unpacking!) awhile back, but today I am sharing my Hometalk Moving Tips and Tricks Board with you.

I made these sweet pots years ago, and they are still my absolute favorite holiday craft EVER. Every time I see my babies sweet little fingerprints as hearts, my heart melts. They are so easy to make. And just put a special someone's favorite plant in them and you have the perfect heartfelt Valentines gift! I happen to love mine so much, that I always have my pots out on display!
I am obsessed with a lot of things lately...but when it comes to gifts..live plants have stolen my heart: succulents, mini herbs, miniature roses, ornamental grasses - I am not picky...I love it! And I have quite a few gifts to give...so I need a sweet planter right?

Yesterday I shared a Monogrammed Burlap Canvas project
that is part of the Michaels and Hometalk Pinterest Party.
And, well, once I start thinking about a project I just cannot stop myself.
I just fell in love with these small burlap canvases and the laser cut wood doilies...
and I had to make another personalized project.
That is where this wreath came in!
In the past I have made burlap canvas wreaths using old family photos and absolutely love the look, so this is a perfect addition to my home.

I always joke that I married my husband because I would not have to change my initials.
I very much liked that big ole "L" that was the beginning of my last name.
I have always (long before the monogram trend began) loved using my initials to personalize my decor. That is why I love this Monogrammed Burlap Canvas project that is part of the Michaels and Hometalk Pinterest Party.

I admit that I am not the most organized person in the world,
but I do have a few tricks up my sleeve...
granted most of them have been passed down from relatives and long time friends...
but they are good! And now I am going to share one of them with you!
And, if you are like me...ways to maximize space and
create efficient storage solutions in the kitchen in a top priority.
For the longest time I was frustrated with how to store my cutting boards,
baking racks, baking sheets and even pot lids.
Then I remembered this trick I learned from a family friend!
So you know those metal file holders/sorters...
they are AMAZING in the kitchen.
The keep you cabinets tidy and your necessities sorted and ready to go!
And better yet...this is one of the easiest DIY's EVER!
I pick up my metal file holders at thrift stores - they are super cheap ($2.00-4.00)
I clean them up and place them in my cabinets.
Then I sort out my items.
Things like cutting boards, baking racks, etc. store great when "filed" like this!
In this cabinet I used the metal file sorter for my most used items,
but I also use a metal file sorter in other ways.
I store my pot lids this way and I store my baking pans -
like mini donut pan, mini muffin pans, muffin tins this way as well.
See super easy!

My husband loves his football, and this year I was given the opportunity from coupons.com to create a DIY tabletop perfect for that "Big Game" coming up. I am sure he would be happy with a couple bowls of chips...but {gasp!} what do that when you can easily create a fun football themed tabletop complete with a

I am perpetually looking for ways to store just about everything in my house.
I live in Coastal California and our square footage is used for living space not closets.
Because of that, I am perpetually in search of ways to conquer my storage problems.
Box, crates, carts - you name it - they make me happy...
and help with with my storage and organization issues...
and then..if they are on wheels...
GENIUS!
Did you see those cool projects up there...
they can definitely inspire me to create some more storage solutions on wheels...
and I bet you can find something to help you out too!
I recently compiled a Hometalk clipboard
featuring Rolling Storage Projects,
inspired by one of my very favorite projects from my own home,
If you need creative ways to store your things...
and love them to be mobile...
you really should pop over and check out my

I am a girl who likes to over complicate everything
(yes, everything!).
A very good example of that has been my cleaning supplies.
I used to buy one product for bathrooms, one for the kitchen,
one for floors, one for window, one for sinks...get the picture.
(yes advertisers must have loved me)

HEY ALL! THIS IS A RE-POST...BECAUSE I HAVE A BOOK TO FINISH ASAP!
But it is one of my favorite projects ever!
But it is one of my favorite projects ever!
I originally came up with this idea last year for my sons room.
I find it very hard to find sophisticated decor for boys,
especially growing boys, and it was time to update his room.
But quite honestly this art can go anywhere!
I even had one friend fooled...
she thought I bought this at a museum store!

As you may know, I recently "almost-finished" my kitchen.{I am never fully done with anything!}
Since then, I have been looking for accessories
and items to add those final touches.
I made my beautiful {if I do say so myself!} tea towel and place mats,
but I do not like things too matchy-matchy,
so I was looking for something else to adorn some other accessories.
