Sales & Operations Executive

We're now looking for a Sales & Operations Executive to join our Licensing team! In this role you'll facilitate sales and provide sales operations support for the Licensing team including the promotion, sale and delivery of our content worldwide on a non-subscription basis to media outlets, educational publishers, brands and other clients.

About the Role

  • Respond to a wide range of non-subscription licence requests for the re-use of our journalism across all formats to a global clientele.
  • Negotiate sales and ensure all requests are processed within agreed target times
  • Provide operational assistance, supporting rights and sales management processes, checking rights availability and conducting compliance tasks to ensure all licensing requests align with our values
  • Develop a deep understanding of our content output across all formats and maintain up to date knowledge of how our content is created, resold and distributed
  • Provide day-to-day financial, technical and customer management support
  • Support a network of sub-agency and reseller relationships that bolster non-subscription revenues and market optimisation
  • Work with internal teams to develop and promote a range of content.

About You

  • Sales and customer-focused
  • Experience in publishing or a licensing business desirable but not essential
  • Strong data management, reporting and analytical skills
  • Experience using Excel and CRM systems
  • Enjoys client liaison and relationship management
  • Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies in the content publishing space
  • Familiarity of content management architecture and digital content distribution, e.g. RSS and APIs, including tagging and general taxonomy
  • Understanding of third party content acquisition, talent management and rights & publishing licensing agreements and content management tools desirable.
  • Some knowledge of financial reporting, debt management and revenue collection

We offer 30 days annual leave per annum, plus an additional 5 day holiday purchase scheme. Our pension scheme is generous; if you contribute 5% then we will contribute 8-12% (depending on your age).
