Hello Jordy, thank you for responding to my inquiry and for your willingness to help.
To explain: the history that gets deleted upon updating to version 3.8.7 is the history within the “Chatbots” tab—the window where the actual chatting takes place.
I wasn’t using the “Discussions” tab, nor did I have it enabled.
I tested this by restoring a backup from the day before the update—reverting to version 3.8.6—and, to my surprise, all the chat history reappeared.
So, it seems that up to version 3.8.6, the history in the “Chatbots” tab is preserved, but the update to version 3.8.7 deletes it.
My concern is that by updating to version 3.8.7, the AI will “forget” our previous conversations and lose the prompt; I would then have to provide a new prompt and re-explain everything we had already established regarding my web design project.
For now, I’m holding off on updating the plugin—could you please advise me on what I should do?
