Thanks for reaching out! I’m sorry for the trouble here.
To resolve that “we couldn’t fix the authentication” message, please try first disconnecting MonsterInsights from Google Analytics.
Once fully disconnected, you’ll be able to authenticate like normal. Here are some steps:
- Go to MonsterInsights Settings: Navigate to
Insights»Settingsin your WordPress admin dashboard. - Disconnect Current Property: Click on the
Disconnect MonsterInsightsbutton to remove the current authentication (if shows as connected). If this shows an error the first time, please try once more, it will work on the second try. - Clear Cache and Cookies: Clear your browser’s cache and cookies to ensure a problem-free authentication process.
- Reconnect to Google Analytics: Click on the
Launch setup wizardorConnect MonsterInsightsbutton and follow the prompts to reconnect.

After setting dimensions under the Override thumbnail settings, the custom crop will adjust to the correct sizing. Please update your plugin to the latest version for the fix to apply.

For galleries (and albums) with more than 50 images, you can now drag and drop an image to a different page while editing a gallery. Please update your plugin to the latest version for the new feature to apply.
If you had previously used a custom code snippet to display more images per page as a workaround, we recommend running the snippet once more to change the

I’m sorry about the recommended plugins. It’s not our intent to cause clutter. We try to provide as much value as possible to our users by suggesting plugins that we integrate with directly for more reporting features because a lot of users aren’t aware of them and can benefit greatly.
If you would prefer to not use our suggested plugins, you’ll be able to either deselect them for installation in the Setup Wizard under the Add Recommended Plugins To My Website option, skip that step entirely by clicking on Skip for Now, or if you decide after completing the setup wizard to not use them, you’ll be able to remove them like other WordPress plugins.
I do apologize for any issues with uninstalling MonsterInsights. If possible, we’d like to take a closer look at what’s going on, to see if we can offer any assistance from our end or point you in the right direction.
