Hi Nebu,
Please can you clarify – are you asserting that a theme is not allowed to do this, that in some way it’s incorrect? As a WordPress developer, there’s nothing invalid that I’m aware of, and it is not preventing every other plugin on the site from enqueuing its resources. Why does it prevent Forminator? Will you be documenting this somewhere so that theme authors can be aware of what you don’t allow them to do – or is it something that Forminator will in future fix?
David
P.S. And, as you’ll be able to see in the theme source, yes, the theme uses a shutdown hook and buffering.
Thank you; I have emailed the requested information.
Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
I added a PHP filter to switch to the TwentyTwentyFive theme on that page. This has fixed the layout there. So, it must be something in the theme. What sort of thing should I look for? Note that the CSS file in
wp-content/uploads/forminator/*is* being enqueued on the page after changing the theme (as you can see by visiting the page previously mentioned and viewing the source), whereas on the default theme, it wasn’t. So, in some way, there is a conflict whose consequence is that Forminator does not enqueue its resources on the page.David
P.S. The wordpress.org forum rules do not allow either requesting or sharing of login credentials.
Hi Hal,
*Does* the installed plugin on your site have a valid header? The “header” refers to the section at the top of the main plugin file, which WordPress reads to gather details about the plugin. The version being distributed from wordpress.org certainly doesn’t, because if it did, then everyone would necessarily have the same problem.
So, here’s what it looks like to download the plugin from wordpress.org and inspect the header (and this is what it should look like):
$ wget -q https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/ssh-sftp-updater-support.1.1.0.zip
$ unzip -q ssh-sftp-updater-support.1.1.0.zip
$ head ssh-sftp-updater-support/sftp.php
<?php
/*
Plugin Name: SSH SFTP Updater Support

Version: 1.1.0

*/Does the version that’s installed on your site look like that?
If it doesn’t, and if the plugin is still working, then it can’t actually be de-activated; so then it would appear that the fault is in whatever part of WordPress core displays that message.

In reply to: [SSH SFTP Updater Support] PHP Fatal error when trying to update.Hi Robert,
To make sure I understand correctly: if you downgrade to version 0.9.0 of this plugin, then updating works, but updating fails if you use version 1.0.0?
Between those versions, the plugin moved from using version 2.0 to version 3.0 of the underlying phpseclib library, so, I’d have to ask the author to comment. Your error message seems to say that the SFTP server sent an invalid packet. However…. I’ve just released a 1.1.0 release for the plugin,updating to the current 3.0 version of phpseclib (from 3.0.43 to 3.0.48). So, first please update to that version, and try again, and see what happens.

Hi Jim,
You’ll need to post this in a support forum for WooCommerce. This plugin, the free wordpress.org version, does not calculate product, shipping or order tax, because that is done by WooCommerce core. In the “VAT compliance information” you see a display provided by the plugin which summarises the order information and presents it in one place, but it’s WooCommerce itself which calculates the information.

Hi Pammy,
The above indicates a bug in the Litespeed cache plugin. What it’s doing is trying to set up a connection, and then proceeding *without checklng if the setup succeeded or failed*; it proceeds to attempt to use it. It asks whether a certain file exists or not; but since the connection wasn’t set up, the answer is unknowable – neither “yes” nor “no” can be returned. In this situation, the SFTP plugin raising an exception is the correct thing to do. If you report it to Litespeed and point them to this thread, they’ll know what to do to fix it.

Hi,
If you bought from WP Overnight, then please do ask for support from them.

Hi Jack,
You can safely delete any versions which are no longer being served up as the current release of a plugin.

Hi Parthavi,
Whether the taxation address is based upon billing address (alone), IP address (alone), or requiring them both to match, or forbidding checkout if they don’t, or requiring resolution if they don’t, is handled by the “Resolving conflicting VAT data” setting in the main plugin section. Please look at that option to see the possibilities.
Which of those can or should be used in your particular country is something that you should consult a tax advisor about. We do not offer tax consultancy, and do not suggest you base tax decisions upon advice from anyone without proper credentials in your jurisdiction. I am a software developer and not a tax advisor.

In reply to: [Two Factor Authentication] Some recent releases never published?Hi Jay,
Thank you for your interest in our plugin. To know what versions of a plugin are released on wordpress.org, someone can visit the “tags” for that plugin; for this plugin, that’s here: http://plugins.svn.wordpress.org/two-factor-authentication/tags/ . Alternatively, the same thing shows up on the “Advanced” page for a plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/two-factor-authentication/advanced/ – if you go to the “Previous Versions” you can see what’s visible and what isn’t.
In the case of this plugin, there’s a Premium version which has extra features. They share the same version scheme and changelog, since it’s a single code-base – the Premium version is a super-set of the free. To, some releases are not made for the free version, for various reasons.

In reply to: [Upload Larger Plugins] Javascipt Error OccurringHi,
Thanks for the report. Deprecation notices aren’t errors; they’re information about possible future changes. But anyway, I’ve now resolved this in today’s version 1.9 release.
Thanks again,

In reply to: [UpdraftCentral Dashboard] rename the local updraft central hostHi,
Changing the URL of the site that your dashboard is on is no problem; once the connection is set up, that URL is not part of the subsequent communication protocol, meaning that it can freely change.
