If I try to set any value and enable critical css for here at this subpage:

    wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpassetcleanup_assets_manager&wpacu_sub_page=manage_critical_css&wpacu_for=homepage

then the button “update” simply does not work. If I click on it nothing happens and thus I can not save any value or enable critical css for any page/post/category…

If I inspect it in firefox I get one of these two errors:

    a) Error: Promised response from onMessage listener went out of scope

    b) Uncaught TypeError: $(…).autocomplete(…).data(…) is undefined

    e
            t
            setTimeout handler*Deferred/then/l/<
            c

            B
            EventListener.handleEvent*

@johns0n it looks like something is interfering with the plugin and is somehow making the buttons unable. It could be a JavaScript problem. I’ve just tested the critical CSS area and everything works fine. Moreover, nothing was changed there to make it unusable in the latest version of the Pro plugin.

Can you check from which JS files (or inline JS code) those errors are coming? Perhaps there’s a plugin there that is having a code interfering with Asset CleanUp Pro.

One way to debug this is to create a staging site and deactivate certain plugins (if you can find out the files behind the JS errors that’s even better) and check if updating the critical CSS would work.
