Search modal sometimes is slow and search text is lost

Hello,
Our customer reported sometimes 2 problems when doing the following :
– Click on the search bar and begin to type characters
– 1st problem : For some users, the search modal opens after a few seconds (instead of opening instantly)
– 2nd problem : When the search modal is opened the characters typed in the original search bar are not present in the search modal

I could not reproduce the 1st problem myself, I could only reproduce the 2nd problem if I copy/paste a text in the search bar. I guess the 2nd problem happens because of the 1st one.

My questions are :
1) Is there a way to speed up the search modal appearance ? Does it depends on the website hosting ? Or maybe it depends on the user connection ? Or only depends on Doofinder ?
2) I think both problems could be solved by copying the original search text into the search modal so that the original search is not lost whatever the modal speed is, is there a way to do that ?
