  • In order to get FeedWordPress to update all the posts from a particular feed, you first have to delete the original posts permanently. Just moving them to trash won’t work – you have to go into trash, select them, and select Delete Permanently.

    Once you do this, if you update the feed, it will reload all available posts.

    I just had the same problem today – I added some custom fields to my posts, and wanted to refresh all the previous posts from the feed. It worked once I deleted everything. Thankfully, you don’t have to remove the feed and readd it.

    @CristianDiaz – thank you. Confirmed that this is correct. That’s pretty straightforward and I must have done all my testing while forgetting about the Trash folder when deleting the posts.

    So if I need a post to stay removed that would seem to mean I’ll need to leave it in the Trash until it drops off the feed. I’m remembering times when I removed a feed post only to have it re-appear…now I know why!
