• I’ve noticed that unfortunately when I share my posts on Social Media, or in my Schema.org data, the word “Play” appears wherever there is a youtube block, breaking the text.

My guess is that this is a result of this Span class that unfortunately even if it has this “visually-hidden” class gets read both by Google and Social Medias.

    <figure class=”wp-block-boldblocks-youtube-block”><div id=”yb-video-xxxx” class=”yb-player lazy” data-video-id=”xxx” data-title=”Play” style=”background-image: url(xx.jpg;);” data-bg=”url(https://xxx.jpg)” data-was-processed=”true”><button type=”button” class=”yb-btn-play”><span class=”visually-hidden”>Play</span></button></div></figure>

Now, in your css I found .visually-hidden{clip:rect(0 0 0 0) but there is no display:none. Sadly I’ve noticed that if I add this into my CSS it breaks everything, the video is not loaded anymore.

    Any solution?

    Thank you!

    Hi @andrearossonero,

Could you please provide your website address? I need to see the error myself. If you want to hide that text, you can use this CSS snippet:

    .wp-block-boldblocks-youtube-block .visually-hidden { display: nonee; }

    Best, Phi.

Hi, thanks for your fast answer. Website is not publicly live yet unfortunately… 🙁
I can set up a quick random dummy page on a wordpress.com domain however.

The good news: I’m not sure why, but this time the display:none is loaded properly and the video still works. Maybe I did a mistake before.

The bad news: Original issue is still not resolved. At least for Schema. Haven’t had a chance to test with Social again.
If it helps \ if you have the possibility to make a quick test, the Schema.org is simply doing this:
https://pastebin.com/SDjNfegs (sorry but I can’t paste php here, it seems to get removed).
Just put some text in your post and a video to reproduce.
This is my own usecase but I imagine that whoever has a website that contains reviews, or in general needs to stuff the post content into the Schema, has this issue at the moment, prob. just never realized.

    Hi @andrearossonero,

I’m not sure I fully understand. Could you please share some screenshots to explain the issue? If I can understand the situation correctly, I may be able to provide a solution.
This block works only in a JavaScript-enabled environment. It plays the YouTube video via JavaScript, so if the frontend scripts and styles cannot be loaded, it won’t work properly.

    Phi.
