omit footer on first page?

Hello!

The pdfs I’m generating will have a cover page, and that shouldn’t display a page number in the footer. I’ve tried hiding that with various css tactics (@page:first, adjacent sibling selectors, etc.) but am coming up short. Is there a way to filter that in the plugin to not display the footer on the first page?
