# How to enable shortcodes

 * Shortcodes are not natively enabled because they would be applied on every save
   and could mess up the editable fields.
 * But you can enable them easily if you place this code in your functions.php:
 *     ```
       // GDYMC enable shortcodes
   
       add_filter( 'gdymc_contentfilter', 'gdymc_enable_shortcodes' );
   
       function gdymc_enable_shortcodes( $content ) {
   
       	if( !gdymc_logged() ):
   
       		return do_shortcode( $content );
   
       	else:
   
       		return $content;
   
       	endif;
   
       }
       ```
   
 * This applies the shortcodes for all visitors and in the hard preview.
