• Hi, trying to figure out why the form doesn’t work in Safari on Macos. Works fine in Chrome, yet in Safari I get the following error messages (with error messages turned on at least). With it turned off, it just doesn’t do anything.

    Error I get are:

    Error: hidden field
    Error: sum

    Sum is turned off.

    Hi Ron,

The “Error: hidden field” should only happen when a bot is filling the form (it always fills all the fields, including the hidden fields that should stay empty). Maybe it was a temp (one time) bug.

But the sum probably doesn’t work because there’s no session set in the browser.. If you enable the Sum, are there numbers displayed, other than 0 + 0?

When I enable the sum, I can type in the answer but it will always say it’s not correct. It does display a sum, but counts everything incorrect.

Weird thing it, it works fine in Chrome with the sum disabled, but enabled, all answers are wrong. Same in Opera.
With sum disabled, I still get the error SUM in Safari and Opera, but works fine in Chrome. And thats with all cookies deleted too.

    Hoi Ron,

The sum requires a PHP session (that works), but the session itself needs to set a cookie, that doesn’t always work properly.

Do you have a caching / optimalisation plugin active? If you do, is there a way to exclude the contact page? May be possible to exclude pages via the settings page of the plugin.
