Conflict between Theme and Plugin Templates
-
Note: I posted for help with this question with Woocommerce and they redirected me to post here. See original thread: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/products-by-attribute-and-brand-templates-think-they-are-catalogs/#post-18625210
I am using the Twenty Twenty-four theme and Woocommerce page templates.
Today, my Products by Attribute and Products by Brand tempaltes are identical to my Product Catalog page. I don’t mean parts are copied…I mean identical.
- Here’s my shop home page: https://imperiaseattle.com/prg/
- Here’s a Brand page: https://imperiaseattle.com/brand/make-a-scene/
These pages should instead match the Products by Category and Products by Tag page. <screenshot 1>
Here’s where it gets weird:
- I go into the editor on a problem template (Products by Brand). It says I’m in the correct template, but:
- The Revisions shows 109. That’s how many I have on the Product Catalog (shop home) page. <screenshot 2>
- If I click on the revisions, it asks me to “Compare Revisions of “Product Catalog””. <screenshot 3>
- If I try to edit the problem pages, I get an error: “Updating failed. No templates exist with that id.” <screenshot 4>
I would like to know how I can “restore” my Brand Name page back to the same format as all of my other category-style results pages. If I try to revert to previous (correct) versions, it just reverts and restores my Shop Home page, and these pages.
