v4.1.1 update caused our homepage to be replaced by a gray screen with only a white box containing this text: Elementor: You can’t start a section before the end of the previous section “_section_style”. Our fix was to use WP Rollback to return to v4.1.0 and disable auto-updates.

Since we’re okay for the moment, I’m only bringing this to your attention! Below is a list of our Elementor-related plugins, in case it may help you find a conflict. Have a nice day.

    Elementor
    Elementor Pro
ECS – Ele Custom Skin for Elementor
    Element Pack Pro
    ElementsKit Lite
    LearnDash LMS – Elementor
    OoohBoi Steroids for Elementor
    The Plus Addons for Elementor
The Plus Addons for Elementor – Pro

  • Hello, @rickymccallum87,
thank you fro bringing this up. We had the same error-message being displayed.

I deactivated and re-activated plugins. And the Ooooh Boi Steroids plugin was the culprit.

    Waiting for an update 😉

Hi! I also had the same issue on several sites. I needed to deactivate ooohboi to get it working again.

Hello, we had the same issue on our site and had to deactivate the plugin as well to get our site working again.

    Same issue here.

I rolled back to 4.0.9 and I’m still getting the error. So the only solution for me is to deactivate this plugin. So yeah, this is pretty urgent.

The temp fix is to downgrade this plugin to version 2.1.25 and turn auto updates off.

Same problem here. I appreciate a quick fix.

This morning, Ooohboi Steroids plugin updated from 2.1.25 to 2.1.26 and that was the source of the issue. Thank you, @417-marketing, for pointing out the correct version number. (When I wrote my post above, I wrote v4.1.1 because I was mistakenly looking at Elementor’s changelog.)

Thank you kindly for the fix: version 2.1.27 of the plugin works again.

    Great work!

There are still people having problems with the version 2.1.27 rendering columns and other page elements incorrectly. Please check the other messages in this forum. This has not been resolved.

    Thanks…

@mspencereeft is correct, this is not fixed.
