EvDaDaDec : Walking away.

It is the day after boxing day , it dry and the sky  was blue!

I was alone  and restless  so I went  for a walk  for something to do.

As left  the house the streets were deserted and quiet

But as I neared the town they were having  a riot!

The  shops were full as  full as  they could  be

People  pushing shoving  arguing as far as the eye can  see.

Please , excuse me, thank  you have  become redundant words

As I walked  pass the shops I thought  they were all acting  like a herd!

As I turned upon my heels and headed  back away from the town

I walked toward  the fields and trees away from the crush

The  cool air took the breath from me I felt my stress go down.

Walking  was so  much better out here in the open away from the town and the rush.

As I walk I start to breath,

As far behind  the shops I leave.

People pushing , grabbing what’s  the gain

I prefer to be out here alone so much  more to gain.

Heartland Echoes

Welcome to my “Heartland Echoes,” where I aim to share my poems with the world, along with my survival story and autobiography of childhood abuse, motivational quotes, and much more. Through my words, I hope to inspire others to share their own stories and experiences. Each poem is a piece of my heart and soul, along with a story of a traumatic past, crafted with inspiration, Hope, faith, love and passion. I believe that by sharing our art and emotions, I’ll be able to connect with others on a deeper level and create a sense of community.
