Mary and Jo part16

Today is the sixteenth day of Advent, leading up to Christmas. I would like to re-run my take on the Nativity story. I first wrote this in 2011, in the style of prosetry

“I have an idea” said Balthazar “I think we should wear our national robes to show honour to a new king I have mine with me do you two need to go shopping”.
The other two men smiled and produced the robes they’d brought, they had all had but one thought.

The shepherds on the way down from the pastures to the town discussed whether the sheep would be a good idea for the parent’s of the new king to keep. We must take them though our intentions we need to show.
Sitting quietly in the back was Josh a nephew who was out with the shepherds the night the angels came. He will never forget the light, the voices or the beauty, he will never be the same again.
Scouring his mind Josh wanted to find a gift but he had none, then in his pocket something slipped into his hand he did not know at first but his search was done. A friendship bracelet his friend had given him, as he had left to go and fight a war. This bracelet had protected him and now it would carry the protection over to the new king

Sitting back and feeling good he was happy to pass his good luck on to the new child who was to be the One. Easier now in his head he relaxed and closed his eyes and relived last night. The angel and how was lit the countryside. He felt angel wings touch his face and felt his soul fill with grace.

Mary and Jo part 7

The shepherds recovering unsure of what they had just seen,

The stunning angel with the strange message. She’d looked like a beauty Queen.

They fed the sheep then headed for the town.

Whatever it was they obviously part of what was going down.

The star was still shining, you could see it from here .

None of them sure of what any of it meant

That angel could only of been heaven sent.

Mares and Jo were both asleep,

Angels had them safe within their keep.

Not to mention the staff of the Hotel Delph,

Everyone there was wishing this special couple good health.

At night the new star shone up above

And during the day from no where came the dove.

In the town there was a buzz

What was all the fuss.

Something new was happening.

Not like the new style, or the new look

This would be important , this would make a book!

Winging towards them the three magi.com checking their charts and computers nothing must go wrong.

They all agreed they did not trust Herod.com

There was something about him that was not quite right,

The way he had questioned them into the night.

The men on the plane had gifts on their mind.

They had brought some for the child, of the most special kind.

Frankincense, Myrrh and Gold , well it is a change from a babygrow or a coat to keep him safe from the cold.

So now we have magi.com following their star.

And the shepherds on their way from near and far.

We have angels and doves and an child who will be born to a gentle mother mild.

This is another excerpt from a version of the the Nativity story, that I wrote all through December 2011. It started here Mary and Jo Part 1

Bahaha!

“Who are ewe? new here?”

“We’re trinity.”

“Well you’re welcome to join our flock.”

“Thanks but we have heaven to run.”

“Why you here?”

“Aup! Ladies is this a new shepherd?”

“No I am said trinity. That’s lost boy Azriel.”

Gabriel was tearing his hair out to the sound of Satan’s laugh!

“I have an idea” said Balthazar “I think we should wear our national robes to show honour to a new king I have mine with me do you two need to go shopping”.

Dressed to meet a king

The other two men smiled and produced their robes they’d  brought, they had all had but one thought.

The shepherds on the way down from the pastures to the town discussed whether the sheep would be a good idea for the parent’s of the new king to keep. We must take them though our intentions we need to show.

Easier now in his head he sat back and closed his eyes and relived last night , the angel and how was lit the countryside. He felt angel wings touch his face and felt his soul fill with grace.

The children of the staff, of Hotel Delph were happily helping Mares make a paper chain, they asked her to tell them about her angel again. She smiled and told them they all had a guardian angels of their own who watched over them and kept them safe when they were out and when they were at home.

making paper chains

The Children loved this idea they all started searching around they all started to ask where they, there are none here. Mares smiled and said you can not see them but have no fear they are always with you they are always here .

Irena and Annya had both got out their medical books they both sat in the staffroom books open on obstetrics, take a look. They were both ready for almost anything and prayed to God above to let it go with a swing. The others all felt the buzz something was in the air they all wanted to help and were elated to feel that they really did care.

The lady up the road was sitting in her room still singing happily she was sewing the jacket up it would be on the baby soon. Her cat was playing with the dog next door sitting together on the floor. She smiled at them thinking that if you did not know better it looked as if they were talking, as if they were in the know.

There was something in the air, expectancy was everywhere as the children were tucked into their beds the words of Mares gently echoed in their heads. It certainly made for happy dreams because for the children Mares had only said so much and covered that in sugar and cream.

sweet dreams

As for the future she foresaw, she told herself look no more the child is not yet born, no point to worry on what is to come no point sorrow and mourn. Getting up Mares felt a twinge… this was different this was new OH! quick get Annya and Irene too!………

Mary and Jo part10 Recap

Now lets see where we have got to lets what we already know. We have our young couple expecting a baby any time and they had no where to go.

Mares and Jo

They had to go to Bethlehem to register for their taxes and we know that happenings in the last few months have knocked their lives off of their axis. They had both been visited by  big boy angel Gabriel he had shocked them with his news and even if it was an unexplained pregnancy he promised all would be well.

They had made the journey on Jo’s beloved scooter and they had arrived safely but they had nowhere booked and because of Mares plight they needed a place hastily. That had been turned away from everywhere but at the Hotel Delph the security man had said he had a room and they could stay there.

The children of the staff at the hotel where happy to spend time with them and they had lots of fun and even played show and tell. The children in the town all knew what the new child would be, they all knew he would be special, he was to set them free.

angels and shepherds

Shepherds on the hills above Bethlehem town had had a visit  from angels too they had lit the skies up and truly brought glory all around. The shepherds had understood the message and were on their way to see the soon to be baby and to him homage pay.

Also we have three astrologers of royal blood who had formed magi.com and their latest and most important project is to follow a new star travelling west from where they are from. They had, had a meeting with their rivals, herod.com he was after all their findings and they felt he was not on the level when he asked where the babe was to be born.

magi.com were wise men not to trust Herod as he was threatened by the thought of new king who might usurp his place he did not want another king as he saw it, muscling in on his place. He came up with a answer to what he saw as a threat. To kill all male children under one year old that way he would be rid of the new king on that, his company, he’d bet.

So we have a pregnant couple like pied pipers to children we have shepherds who see angels and three wise men. Sadly we have a villain a nasty, nasty man who to keep his kingdom safe will do all that he can.

I will not be able to post tomorrow but I hope to be here again Friday and if not then, then definitely Saturday. Be well and happy all of you.
