The Friday Reminder for #SoCS & #JusJoJan 2024 Daily Prompt – Jan. 27th: Make the call.

Hi I am off to Linda’ to make coffee and toast but before I go I am doing my SoCs post. Here’s what Linda has to say on the days prompt.

“It’s Friday, and it’s also our final combination Daily 2024 Just Jot it January Prompt and the Stream of Consciousness Saturday prompt. This one is for SATURDAY, JANUARY 27th. Where did the month go? I think I say that every year, but it’s never any less confusing. I hope if you just joined for Just Jot it January that you’ll be back every Saturday all year ’round for SoCS!

Your prompt for #JusJoJan the 27th and Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “make the call.” Use it as an idiom or use it literally. Have fun!

Make the call ” can mean different things, like most things today there are always more that one meaning. It can mean literally pick up the phone and make the call…. Ring your long lost friend or the family member you have fallen out with. Make the call accept or refuse an opportunity, make the call change your situation.

Often people will say “I can’t or won’t make the call it’s above my pay grade.” That means they don’t want to make a decision on a situation because they are afraid of the consequences….they don’t want the responsibility of the outcome…..Those who do have the balls and make the call in a situation can often be heard to say, “I had no choice I had to make the call

I could go on but I fancy some tea and toast so as I said at the top of this ramble I am heading off to Linda’s! Join me? …Did I get permission to ask you, well no I made the call myself, come on Linda would love to see us, if you don’t believe me make the call and ask her.

First and foremost  he is constantly there

Always ready  to support you, comfort  and to care

Tough when needed and loving too

Hoping  always  the best  for you

Everlasting patience where you are concerned!

Rooting  in corner praising  you highly  for the accolades you’ve earned.

Father

~~~~~
His hands are too big,
Like his heart and the love he has to give .
His fear is tangible but he holds the baby
His own, his son. A leader of men …maybe.
This life, these eyes dependent on him
My boy my lad his heart begins to sing.
She just smiles as she watches.
Heartland Echoes
Welcome to my “Heartland Echoes,” where I aim to share my poems with the world, along with my survival story and autobiography of childhood abuse, motivational quotes, and much more. Through my words, I hope to inspire others to share their own stories and experiences. Each poem is a piece of my heart and soul, along with a story of a traumatic past, crafted with inspiration, Hope, faith, love and passion. I believe that by sharing our art and emotions, I’ll be able to connect with others on a deeper level and create a sense of community.
