Dawn arrived. I walked out on the breakwater. In front, deep water, behind a shallow lido. I have been gone for days now and no one’s missed me. Not one call or message ? I leave my phone on the rocks there’s no need for it anymore… The silence only makes my emptiness deeper.
I step forward looking for oblivion and peace in the gentle lap of the waves. As I sink beneath the waves I just let go. Back on the rocks my phone lights up and it rings……
