We must never forget.

Holocaust Rememberance Day.

Lest we ever forget or worse still deny.

Rounded up beaten into compliance
Herded onto trains, treated worse than cattle.
Sorted to the left or the right no point to defiance.
Death or slave labour, hunger a constant battle.
Shot or beaten at a soldiers whim
Deemed subhuman because you were a Jew.
The race or religion may change but it ever was and is… nothing is new.

Lest we forget today is Holocaust rememberance day . We must never forget.

Light a candle for the memory of the Holocaust.

At eight o’clock this evening we will light a candle to remember the Holocaust. Every year, those who lost their lives in the Holocaust are remembered and honoured on Holocaust Memorial Day.

The day is used to remember the six million Jews who were killed under Nazi persecutions as well as those who died in subsequent genocides of which sadly there are too many.

Please join us if you can we must never forget, we must never deny. It did happen it is still happening.

And on and on and on……………………

They think the cycle is over yet it is only just begun.

The moon dances all the night then gives way to the sun.

People have fought so many wars , enough for them to be at an end.

Yet somehow still man cannot  completely be man’s friend.

The Christians and the Muslins fought a holy war

It all started centuries ago and still they fight some more.

The world has endured two world wars the first was meant to end them all.

Yet even after that, the world is fighting still, just watch the armies fall.

The Holocaust was only a one off?? yet genocide prevails.

It is here and thriving just like a bomb of nails.

The word  genocide did not exist until nineteen forty four

but it has been around since the beginning of time and will be here for evermore.

Hutu , Tutsi, Jews, Palestinians,Germans, English, Americans, every nation in the world.

They all profess that they want peace  but they all hinder the peace flag being unfurled.

The money men like money and arms make lots of that, so they do not check credentials.

Politicians love money too,  so they back wars. Buying and selling to the highest bidders like a bunch of whores.

So when will it all finish, when will  the wars and hate all end.

When will the oppressed who becomes oppressor ever learn the lessen ?? I have no idea, do you my friend?

Heartland Echoes

Welcome to my “Heartland Echoes,” where I aim to share my poems with the world, along with my survival story and autobiography of childhood abuse, motivational quotes, and much more. Through my words, I hope to inspire others to share their own stories and experiences. Each poem is a piece of my heart and soul, along with a story of a traumatic past, crafted with inspiration, Hope, faith, love and passion. I believe that by sharing our art and emotions, I’ll be able to connect with others on a deeper level and create a sense of community.
