Mary and Jo part 7

The shepherds recovering unsure of what they had just seen,

The stunning angel with the strange message. She’d looked like a beauty Queen.

They fed the sheep then headed for the town.

Whatever it was they obviously part of what was going down.

The star was still shining, you could see it from here .

None of them sure of what any of it meant

That angel could only of been heaven sent.

Mares and Jo were both asleep,

Angels had them safe within their keep.

Not to mention the staff of the Hotel Delph,

Everyone there was wishing this special couple good health.

At night the new star shone up above

And during the day from no where came the dove.

In the town there was a buzz

What was all the fuss.

Something new was happening.

Not like the new style, or the new look

This would be important , this would make a book!

Winging towards them the three magi.com checking their charts and computers nothing must go wrong.

They all agreed they did not trust Herod.com

There was something about him that was not quite right,

The way he had questioned them into the night.

The men on the plane had gifts on their mind.

They had brought some for the child, of the most special kind.

Frankincense, Myrrh and Gold , well it is a change from a babygrow or a coat to keep him safe from the cold.

So now we have magi.com following their star.

And the shepherds on their way from near and far.

We have angels and doves and an child who will be born to a gentle mother mild.

This is another excerpt from a version of the the Nativity story, that I wrote all through December 2011. It started here Mary and Jo Part 1

Heartland Echoes

Welcome to my “Heartland Echoes,” where I aim to share my poems with the world, along with my survival story and autobiography of childhood abuse, motivational quotes, and much more. Through my words, I hope to inspire others to share their own stories and experiences. Each poem is a piece of my heart and soul, along with a story of a traumatic past, crafted with inspiration, Hope, faith, love and passion. I believe that by sharing our art and emotions, I’ll be able to connect with others on a deeper level and create a sense of community.
