Mary and Jo part16

“I have an idea” said Balthazar “I think we should wear our national robes to show honour to a new king I have mine with me do you two need to go shopping”.

Dressed to meet a king

The other two men smiled and produced their robes they’d  brought, they had all had but one thought.

The shepherds on the way down from the pastures to the town discussed whether the sheep would be a good idea for the parent’s of the new king to keep. We must take them though our intentions we need to show.

Sitting quietly in the back was Josh a nephew who was out with the shepherds the night the angels came. He will never forget the light, the voices the beauty he will never be the same again.

Scouring his mind Josh wanted to find a gift but he had none, then in his pocket something slipped into his hand he did not know at first but his search was done. A friendship bracelet his friend had given him, as he had left to go and fight a war. This bracelet had protected him and now it would carry the protection over to the new king.

Sitting back and feeling good he was happy to pass his good luck on to the new child who was to be the One. Easier now in his head he sat back and closed his eyes and relived last night , the angel and how was lit the countryside. He felt angel wings touch his face and felt his soul fill with grace.

The children of the staff, of Hotel Delph were happily helping Mares make a paper chain, they asked her to tell them about her angel again. She smiled and told them they all had a guardian angels of their own who watched over them and kept them safe when they were out and when they were at home.

making paper chains

The Children loved this idea they all started searching around they all started to ask where they, there are none here. Mares smiled and said you can not see them but have no fear they are always with you they are always here .

Irena and Annya had both got out their medical books they both sat in the staffroom books open on obstetrics, take a look. They were both ready for almost anything and prayed to God above to let it go with a swing. The others all felt the buzz something was in the air they all wanted to help and were elated to feel that they really did care.

The lady up the road was sitting in her room still singing happily she was sewing the jacket up it would be on the baby soon. Her cat was playing with the dog next door sitting together on the floor. She smiled at them thinking that if you did not know better it looked as if they were talking, as if they were in the know.

There was something in the air, expectancy was everywhere as the children were tucked into their beds the words of Mares gently echoed in their heads. It certainly made for happy dreams because for the children Mares had only said so much and covered that in sugar and cream.

sweet dreams

As for the future she foresaw, she told herself look no more the child is not yet born, no point to worry on what is to come no point sorrow and mourn. Getting up Mares felt a twinge… this was different this was new OH! quick get Annya and Irene too!………
