I read Audrey’s Post today ‘Field Daisy’ and it has inspired me to write about what her words said to me so thank you Audrey.
****************
Life is like a child’s Daisy chain
What ever happens will come around again.
Like the tiny white flower you start put full of hope.
Then sadly as you age you wither and fail to cope
When you are young and bold
Just like the Daisy your heart is gold.
Such a shame we have to wither and die.
When I was a child my dead chain would make me cry.
I’m older now and I have learned
Some things are better left alone and spurned.
The lovely Daisy left to grow
Like our loves and lives will flourish so.
Life is not an easy path to tread
Yet we must do so, we cannot hide in dread.
But a lesson early learned
Flowers like us are better left Unpicked yes even spurned.
Our frail hearts can only take so much
Of cruel digs and unkind cuts. So carry your heart and your loved ones gently.
And always let the Daisies grow free
