Love Letter para kay Reverend Marvin

Dear Reverend Marvin,

Close up na close up kasi yung mukha mo.

Haaay Reverend Marvin! Sabihin mo lang, magreresign ako para maging secretary mo for life! Super love you po!

Ang iyong Inhinyera Dyosa,

Whilhelmina

Dreaming of him... Again.

You are in my dreams again.

We were living under the same roof. I was watching you sleep soundly on your bed. Your torso exposed. Your handsome charm rubbing on me like it's my 1st time seeing you that way. You're like sunshine. Making me warm. My sustenance in this world. You're my forbidden dessert. Delectable but i swore never to indulge on you.

You woke up and saw me watching you. You beamed your pearly whites. My knees turned jelly; i almost melted to slush.

You stood up wearing nothing but boxers and hugged me. No pretentions. It's as if you have always wanted to do that. You closed your eyes and held me closer. Tighter. No other sound than the silent humming of the aircon unit can be heard. And as if on cue, i hugged you back. Eyes welting tears.

You broke the tightness and held me by my waist. You looked deep in my eyes and smiled. My arm still around your nape, i place my head closer to your torso. "I love this man", the fact chorused by my brain and heart. I slide down on of my hand to feel your torso.

I looked up and smiled back at you.

"Kain na ng breakfast", my morning line to you... Just like yesteryears.

A Letter to Young Blood

 photo GingaBishounenfull305059_zps070367bb.jpg

Dear Young Blood,

I can never personally say these things to you; that’s why this will be the only avenue where I can freely express that you are special to me. It’s not that I am ashamed to let you and the world know that you are dear to me… It’s just that… things will just be complicated once you know how I feel.

It’s not that I love you or anything. I mean. Duh! You’re like some years my junior. But I do admit that a part of me likes you. The part of me that’s intrigued/curious about your whole being. Curious about your smile that hides an emotional wound; about the strict sense of responsibility; about the level of deepness that someone your age had developed; and about your future endeavors and dreams.

Yes Yes. It was at first, your looks that attracted me to you. You might not be the uber gwapo type of guy but I can vouch that you are a Certified Cutie. Itataya ko Dyosa Powers ko dyan! Then I got to know you more which made me realize that you are not just a pretty face.

There was this time that you did something right in front me. I was shocked then that I froze. I don’t know if you have noticed that. But looking back, apart from the shock factor, I am quite honored that you have high trust in me. I believe only those with enough trust to a Dyosa like me will be able to do that, so thank you…

To tell you the truth, after that, I began paying more attention to you. I noticed that you have nice bum. But your thighs are much bigger proportional to your body size. You have also gained some weight as evidenced by that bump in your solar plexus. I know you are conscious about these but I assure you, your girlfriend won’t mind since she’s with a cutie, with brains to boot.

Finally, I would like to use this chance to thank you for having such high regard about me. I may not always show my intellectual prowess but you are one of the only few people who can see through my happy-go-lucky veil, which I also hold with high regard. I promise not to disappoint you with the next endeavors that I do. You are always part of my thinking process and surely, one of my projects will benefit you. Keep up your good work!

To him, I yield

All this years, I have denied that I ever felt something for this guy. I have spoken all techniques of negation of the subject. I even tried, though with a heavy heart, pulling myself away from him. But to only go back beside him because he needed me.

I made a decision to hide my feelings for him because I know for a fact that it will be complicated. Though, that did not stop me to show that I care for him deeply. I just acted normally as if everything I do is normal for a gay friend to do for his straight guy friend. I just thought that I am his pseudo-girlfriend, without the hatid-sundo drama and the sex part. That's how I acted, and people soon recognized our situation.

The people around us began questioning our relationship. They began teasing us because of our closeness. My pseudo-girlfriend act became a real girlfriend act in their screwed mind.

Eventually, I pulled away. I retreated to another avenue in my life just to save myself from hurting inside. I want to always stay by him. I want to always talk to him, text him, see his smiles, his bare torso... I wanted to serve him because that's the only way I know I can show that I love him. I didn't want to say it out loud; I just want him to feel what I feel for him.

There came a time that I forced myself to relinquish my feelings for him. I saw that he was happy with his girl and I was not even close to him both physically and emotionally, felt that it was time to let him go. It was the best thing to do for him and, most especially, for me. During one of our out-of-town trips, I cried silently while I stand atop a hill. I let my tears silently fall while my heart tears up inside my ribcage. No words were spoken at that time. Simply ghostly tears and the pain slowly fading away in that high altitude.

I managed to channel my love to someone else, and eventually forgot my feelings for him. I moved on in a sense. There were chances that we had to close physically, but I was contented of the fact that we were just friends.

Fast forward to the present time, just like old times, we have been texting. Sometimes I start it, sometimes him. He's still with his girl. I'm still single.

I find it awkward that everytime he texts me I feel like a querida. I feel like we are talking about things he should be talking with his girlfriend. I feel like being a pseudo-girlfriend again. Though I won't deny that he still has a special place in my heart, and I have a feeling I have one too.

That sounds soooooo self-serving but that's what I feel. I remembered one time, we were walking along a highway; it was our first time to meet after a year or so. He mentioned he wanted to be close to me even for just a short while. I knew then that there is something between us. Not on a lovers level but not simply just on a friendly level.

Sometimes, I just want to tell him to really own me. Make me his. Tell me that I am his because honestly, that is really our relationship is. We just need to make it official. So that I can shout to the world that I am officially his.

Once upon a Dyosa: TYK 2nd floor Restroom

I clearly remember this awkward moment (well... for me at least...) during the Thomasian Welcome Walk 2009...

The event, which was spearheaded by the UST Central Student Council, came to an end in smashing success. It was a very tiring day for the officers and the staff having to endure a planning session in the morning, then do each of our assigned duties for the event that started early afternoon and lasted early evening. Committee heads like yours truly have dual assignments, as I am the head of the First Aid Booth as well as a runner for one of the OSA (Office for Student Affairs) staff.

I came back to the office to get a whiff of cold air to freshen up. All the running plus the hot temperature of the afternoon opened up all the sweat glands in my body. Not to mention, uber tired for the same reasons.

I sat down on our desk (actually, the Office of the Auditor's desk) with a big thud. The aircon doing its job of relieving the hot stresses of the day's event. After getting comfy for a bit, I decided to go the restroom to wash up the grime even for just the face and arms.

During our time, the 2nd floor restroom of the Tan Yan Kee Student Center is for the exclusive use of the OSA Staff, VIPs, and the Student Leaders whose offices are located on the floor which are CSC and SOCC. CSC 08-09 provided a special keyholder for the key the restroom which was inherited by CSC 09-10. The restroom key was inside a key ring that is attached to a big wooden key figure.

I took the ginormous key of comfort and proceeded to the restroom. Cloud nine feelings of contentment envelop me as the cool water slowly cleanses my skin. I bought a facial cleanser for the sole purpose of washing up after the end of the day. I learned this lesson during the last CSC event that clean up is a must after every event and bring your own cleaning agents. I generously used both the cleanser and the cool water to satisfy my end of event wash up routine.

When I came back to the office, a handful of staff and officers were already there. Everyone cheered congratulations to each other for a very successful event. Of course, though there is an air of happiness, it is tainted by the desire to freshen up from the tiring activity. We found leftover shirts from last year's Paskuhan. After getting consent from the officers to use it, I took one that is my size and returned to the restroom to change.

Of course since I'm a Dyosa, I went straight to the cubicle to change upon entering the rest room. Two other male staff came in the restroom while I was changing. It didn't took a light year for me to change so I got out of the cubicle fast. They were having a conversation while I came out. I smiled at them went straight to lavatory and fixed my hair with the water. When I looked in the mirror...

there it was... A slow mo awkward moment...

The two male staff slowly (well in my mind since its a slow mo moment) lifted their shirts to their heads. Revealing their boyish non toned slim physiques. During this time, my faux jaw that is invisible to others dropped to the floor of course in slow mo fashion as well. They revealed a smile after removing their shirts and continued their conversation while I just stood their in silence trying not to freak out while in between two half naked guys. Both of them are not really gwapo, but one is really appealing sexually, while the other one has really a charming smile.

One of them asked me if I had a soap, I pointed to the available hand soap, trying to act cool amidst the confusion with the situation. After tossing my hair just a bit more, I decided to leave, but not before I had a final look at the fine reward that was given to me for a job well done.

Haha!

Destressing at Starbucks

I was so stressed earlier in the office. But I will not get into details about that I'd rather share the story that also happened earlier after I made touch down in Manila cemented pavement.

I marched to the nearest mall, SM San Lazaro, to get a fix of my favorite de-stress drink. I entered feeling all wet from walking in the rain. I left my parasol in the bin and stood in line for the cashier. It was not a long wait since there were only two patrons in front.

When it was my turn to order, the cute Barista smiled at me. He's not that cute at first glance. But his face has that awkwardness that really categorizes him into a a certified cutie. "Good evening Sir! Can I have your order?", the cutie barista named Jayvi gleefully exclaimed. Since I was on de-stress, I ordered my favorite non-caffeine drink: Mango Passion Fruit with an extra pump of White Mocha, No Tea, Venti. "Anything else Sir?", he said with a cute smile. "Pwede bang ikaw?", I thought. I just shook my head for my reply. Jayvi took a plastic venti cup and wrote down my order, "Can I have your name Sir?", he asked while showing his pearly whites. "It's Whil with an H. It's W-H-I-L.", I as-a-matter-of-factly mentioned. He wrote down my name and excitedly shared some options for my drink.

"Whil! Next time, instead of White Mocha, try nyo po with rock salt! =D"

"Really? What does it taste like?"

"Parang naglalaban yung tamis at alat. =D"
, Wow! Complete with Simile ah!

"Sige, I'll have that next time!", and then I handed him my payment for my drink.

"I received 1000. Eto po ang change nila.", both of us smiling.

"Thank you Whil!", his last line while I move to the receiving line.

After a got my drink, I merrily sipped the mango goodness, and left the store with revived spirits. Kaya gusto ko ng Mango Passion Fruit eh, laging amy extra convo with the cutie barista! Hihihi!

Secretary General

 photo 5885675049_b7f02c4bbd_z_zps8207ca71.jpg
A proud Pink Soldier amidst a sea of Wingmen

Next Friday will be the 5th monthsary that I was elected Secretary General of Refiners Batch 12. First, let me express my relief that I was not elected for the Presidency or the Vice Presidency. Though I know I can handle these positions, I strongly believe that my personality does not fit flawlessly with them. I am very much happy with the position given to me and that's one reason I am fulfilling it to the best of my ability despite my busy schedule.

I am proud to be part of Refiners Batch 12. With pride, I always mention that in every introduction that I do in the company. Of course, the batch has its negatives. Nevertheless, my loyalty and my concern for the batch is unmoved. To the point that if ever that I would need to choose from a co-worker or from someone from our batch... I'm sorry. I cannot be objective on this one since I already have inclination towards the boys.

Last week, I joined two inuman sessions organized by members of the batch in their respective work groups. First was Group 3 where my dear friend Albert is also a member. They introduced me to the other members as: "Si Whil. Secretary namin yan." Honestly, nakakataba ng puso. I never thought that they cared enough to introduce me and equate my name to the position they elected me to. The other session was with the self-proclaimed Line Trace Engineers of Utilities. Again, members of the batch introduced me with Secretary namin not far behind. I just can't help but feel appreciated. I never thought that my simple care and sense of duty for them, is something that they know and appreciate. Kakatouch

I will always be proud of our batch. Proud to be the sole "Out" Dyosa. Proud to be its Secretary General.

Si Romarchie...

I have this friend na special place sa puso ko. No I'm not in love with him. But rather, I have this great admiration and deep gratitude to him. He's the only person, as of now, na feeling ko girl ako pagkasama ko sya.

Other than that, there no more things that can bridge us together.

Meron akong tatlong reasons sa pagtawag sa isang tao sa nickname, or not the usual address to him/her:

(1) Magaan ang loob ko sayo
(2) May respeto ako sayo
(3) Close tayo

Nung College marami akong ganto:

Sir Raniel - kasi officer sya ng CAT nung HS sya.
Kuya Jun - sya kasi yung 1st ever class president namin. At nagstick na sya til the end.
Alberchie - umm... 1st close friend nung College.
Hesed - yan talaga yung real name nya.

You get the picture.

Going back kay Romarchie.

De Guzman ako, tapos sya T yung first letter ng surname nya.

Come start ng majoring years, medyo nakakapag-usap na kami. Since we are taking the same subjects, nagpapalitan kami ng information regarding dun sa mga topics, quizzes, seatwork, etc.

Pero tingin ko, mas naging close kami nung 4th year second sem. Dahil ako'y may binagsak nanamang subject, Thermo 1, nilipat ako ni Ma'am Berna, Department Chair namin that time, sa section nila Romarchie, ang 4ChE-B.

by that time, free for all na ang seating arrangement.

Naging kaparty ko din sya sa SHIFT - a better Choice for a better ChES. Nakita nya how I work as a Campaign Manager which, for the record, none of my regular circle of friends had seen.

Morning ng third day yun. Free time yun eh. Maaga pa kasi. After breakfast. Nageexplore ang lahat. Nagpipicture lahat. Pero sadyang loner lang talaga ata kaming dalawa ni Romarchie kaya we ended up with each other's company.

After passing through a bridge, dumating kami dun sa likod burol. Nagkwekwentuhan kami habang naglalakad at umaakyat. nakwento nya na may burol na mas mataas pa dun na inaakyat baba nya sa province nila. May nikwento pa nga syang funny story about sa tita nya. Kitang kita from there yung retreat house.

Photobucket
Commemorative Picture ng pagkaupo ko sa putik
hindi po yan pupu

Isa pang gusto kong conversation with Romarchie eh nung batch meeting about sa aming 5th year field trip.

Hindi nya siguro alam na he has that special place in my heart. Hmmmmp... Sa Wednesday, I will be one step closer na magkasama kami ulet. Hopefully sa work in their province. Hihi!

Finally! Grabeh!!!

It's presented in a more realistic way in terms of identity crisis and self-discovery which I think that most people, if not all, undergo.

The Bed Scene

Super kilig ako para kay bakla!! Aaaaaaahhh!!!

The Party Concert Scene

Hindi mo man naiintindihan yung kanta directly from its original language, pag binasa mo yung subtitles, alam mo na kanta yun ng pagmamahal.

The Kissing Scene

PhotobucketONG HOBO NG HOR NI BOKLO!!! Super happy ako for you sister!!! Ahihihihihi!

Identity Crisis Scene
Napakalaki ng impact nito sa akin. Although I have no personal experience on identity crisis kasi alam ko na sa simula palang kung ano ako. Marami, I'm so sure, ang makakarelate sa script ni Tong: Ano ba ako? Ano ba talaga ako?

Photobucket
Aex and Mew Confrontation Scene
Well it's really just a friendly confrontation. Infairness naramdaman ko yung sincerity nung Aex ah. It really takes a real friend to apologize first (ay may first hand experience ako dyan!). Nayanig ako dun sa nabasa kong subtitles (see above). OMFG! Naalala ko sinabi din sakin yan ni Dadee, although not in verbatim, pero something in that extent.

Well, nasaisip ko kasi lagi na people will always choose others before me. Ganun kasi nangyari nung bata ako for a long time. Hanggang sa naging normal nalang sya saken. I needed to protect my heart from disappointments kaya I always sort of barricaded myself and keep a small distance of solace for myself.

Kaya siguro wala akong matuturing na bestfriend. Because if you ask any of my friends I'm so sure than I am not at the Top of any of their lists.

Well that's the thing that keeps me sane all these years kaya I'm still going to do it everytime.

Thank you crying scene

Brothers in Arms

an excerpt of the Chemical Engineering journey of batch 2010 boys

Wahahahhaha!!!

I was watching the 1st half of the anime series Shakugan no Shana 3 Final the other night, and I was touched by this particular scene in Episode 15. This is where the Great Flame Haze known as the Adamant Convoy, Samuel Demantius, and his Crimson Lord, Zirnitra the Aegis, made their farewells. Demantius acted as the decoy for the Flame Haze Army to escape to the Tendokyu. He single-handedly fought a whole army of Tomogaras while the rest of the army retreated. He was mortally wounded in the process. But before his final breath, he thanked his "brother-in-arms", Zirnitra, who has been his companion for six centuries and had fought together in the previous Great War. It was really touching. Being that Zirnitra is a Crimson Lord who resides in a different world and only manifest himself through the Cocytus, he is impervious to physical damage. He made his leave as to prepare for future wars, leaving Demantius to die in the place where their last mission as partners ended successfully.

I am a member of different circles of friends. You can say I have many Brothers in Arms. But for this post, I would like to share my Brothers-in-arms during my life as a Chemical Engineering Student.

They say that you can know a person more in the battlefield than just sitting beside them. Whoever said these immortal words, I salute you. But of course let's not just isolate the world "battlefield" as a "warzone". I think that the word battle is simply analogous to "aggressive exchange". In war, it is the exchange of Trinitrotoluene powered weapons; Exchange of ideas in debates; Exchange of strategies in Trading Card games. You know what I mean. But during the period of my ChE student years, battle simply means Sentinel vs Scourge.

Defense of the Ancients or DotA was the first avenue where my now fellow Chemical Engineers and I became bonded. We developed a bond that started simply as an ally or teammate to win against the opposing team, then it grew to the friendship that we now have.

The first month of our college life was nearing its end. That was the time that some of the boys were already friends. I have a former classmate in our class that time so I was in their company. But when one of the boys asked me to join them in their game of DotA, I thought, "why not?".

I played my first DotA game with them in what used to be a Computer shop of the now Motorcycle shop below the Balay bar across the Engineering Building. It was then that I first used my Trump Character, Rylai Crestfall and the rest, as they say, is history. The history of our Chemical Engineering journey.

Since then, I have been in their company. We ate together in the then karinderia of the person we call as Mother after class, and then we played more DotA after meals. We played DotA to celebrate passing our exams; We also played DotA to relieve our stress of failing them.

The same thing happened when I was transferred to the "other" ChE section. DotA was yet again the instrument of successful communication with my new set of brothers-in-arms.

Through DotA I had come to know them more. Things that they would not normally show or tell in conversation, they constantly and unconsciously show during DotA battles. You can see those who are aggressive - excels in ambush, face off combat, greedy for first kill or most kill; those who are cautious - excels in defending, tag team partners, always with teleport scroll or boots of travel (i.e. me); those who are great support - party centered skill and build, wants a team win rather than most kill.

I also learned that they fall into these categories:

>>>>sore loser - veryinf bitter when his team loses
>>>>command center - one who barks orders to his team,
>>>>Die hard player - really serious when playing, normally a command center, then becomes a sore loser after losing
>>>>Casual player - enjoys the thrill of the game, enjoys smokes after every game
>>>>Bully Victim - VON
>>>>Bullies - Note: Plural. Always finds the time to bully Von in game.
>>>>Fated Partners - either they win together, or lose together. Normally lose haha.
>>>>Pawn - follows the Command Center's every command

One of the person I really bonded with did not graduate with us. After failing Chem 112 during the second semester of our 1st year, he did not continue the Chemical Engineering journey and went on the fork road to achieve his real dream. Well, our real dream. We both wanted to become teachers, and now he is one. An English teacher in their province. Well, for his students he maybe Mr. Co the English teacher, but for us, he is our DAGON WARRIOR, our brother in arms.

Because we play all the time, we have developed a secular lexicon for our everyday use. It is actually a mix of gameplay Jargon, as well as made up words that were given meaning because of certain events. I'm just going to list down notable ones.

Beyond the friendship and camaraderie that we had with DotA, we genuinely care for each other. We fought the struggles of our Chemical Engineering journey together. We studied together. Shared information with each other. Although some of us became casualties of some subjects, but still, we pushed for the gold which was passing the subjects together.

I am very much proud to exclaim that no one in our ranks of brothers-in-arms ever resorted to cheating in exams. We may have failed our subjects but we never, and I emphasize it more, NEVER cheated. It was a do or die system for us. You'll pass if you're meant to pass. Always giving 100% of our capacity to exams.

I consider myself lucky to be part of this group of misfits. We may not be all great students like our cum laudes, but the end of the day, we are all CHEMICAL ENGINEERS regardless of our GWA.

Thank you boys. Thank you talaga.
