Reflections at Four Mile Creek, Tasmania

A sweet place and it's Four Miles Creek that we called into on the way to St. Helens.
Yeas ago our friends parents owned a 'shack' overlooking the Tasman Sea. Many weekends we would come with our friends to stay in the shack.  Often we would leave Launceston about midnight and arrived in the early hours of the morning, dodging the kangaroos and wild life along the way.  We would go for picnics up the bush, light a fire in the clearing and generally have a good time.

On the trip last week we came across a lady whom my husband recognized from school - so it turned out that we went to their house for a cup of tea and catching up on the years that had passed.

Not many people live at Four Mile Creek, nor are there many shacks or houses.  It's a great fishing area and for a swim close to shore.

The photos below are of the Creek where there are fish that sometimes jump partly out of the water.

This Bridge is fairly new, the one before was wooden and not at all safe.

Pieman River, Tasmania, Australia.

On a calm sunny day the Pieman River is beautiful with reflections in the water.  The river goes out to the Great Southern Ocean on the West Coast of Tasmania.

My husband took two of his male friends on a trip there several years ago.  I gave him my little camera to take a photo or two.  Husband came back unbroken, but the camera wore out on the way :)
Back then we had a caravan and it's where they slept in Parks.

We sold the Caravan at the end of 2008 or early 2009 because I was looking after my late father.  In April this year we are buying another new one, and at the present we hope it's being made.
So with a new Caravan coming we are thinking about where we will visit in Tasmania and the remainder of Australia in our Winter.
We have traveled Australian States and Territories many times, both with the Caravan, and by car staying in Motels along the way.

Deloraine Reflections! Tasmania, Australia.

Just love a reflection in the water so able to capture a few of these at the Meander River at Deloraine recently.
Deloraine is about 50 km from Launceston, Tasmania, Australia.

The area was explored in 1821 by Captain Roland, who was searching for farmland.  The land was granted to new settlers, and the town is now a major agricultural centre, with a large number of farms of all types in the area.

Deloraine has won Tidy Town many times, and it's a pleasure to visit.
Below are some photos of reflections on the Meander River.
