Cameraman and director Richard Heslop. Featuring Jerry Sadowitz as Ebeneezer Goode. and featuring friends of the band and also Tamzin Haughton, and a dog called sasha. produced by Oil factory . Number 1 in the British singles charts for 4 weeks init... I think this is the made for T.V version...we couldn't show to much burning so this edit isn't the directors version..almost though...

I used to go to some of MR.Cs clubs back in the day, at that point in time i was working with Derek Jarman, and id done some vids for various bands such as Laibach, 23 Skidoo, The Happy mondays, Pop will eat itself, The Smiths and Guru Joshs infinity, and made a film called FLOATING that seemed to capture the time ..even though my film Floating is a biblical story up dated and set in a tower block it has the same shifting of referances that the Ebeneezer Goode song had..... the old becomes the new... Mr cs rap dealt with the link between now and Dickensian times,.. underneath the arches as Gilbert and George once sang..and Sid james cakkles throughout .....it's a British thing ..., nothing changes it just puts a different hat on...
