Vilken bok tycker du förtjänar en uppföljare?

Shadowbridge (well, actually book two in the series Lord Tophet) by Gregory Frost. It’s a fascinating fantasy series set in a world that’s nearly all sea but with a magical series of bridges, where people live. I once communicated with the author and he told me he had an idea for a sequel but he had other projects he wanted to work on and he never wrote book 3.

What did I hate before, but now I love it.

Vad älskar du nu, som du hatade när du var yngre?

Avokado/avocado Te/Tea.

As a teenager I thought avocado was gross, but around twenty I began to love it. I can’t get a nice ripe avocado very often, but when I do I really enjoy it.

I found tea equally disgusting for many years, then realized I loved strong flavoured tea. It’s been about twelve years.

My languages

Vilka språk talar du och hur har det påverkat ditt liv?

Swedish, English, French. I have also studied Spanish, Italian, German, Latin and sign language. (Reply in English, because most followers are English speakers.)

This has only slightly influenced me in my life. English, yes, and to some extent French, but on the whole not really.

Vad jag är bra på

Vad är du bra på?

Korrekturläsning, att skriva, språk och att fånga saker i luften. En gång var jag också bra på att teckna och att simma, men inte så mycket nu.

Why?

Today, I read a blog post here in my WordPress feed that referenced a survey about people referring to themselves as vegan or vegetarian even though they’re not.

I’m not saying it’s fake, I just don’t get it. Why would anyone want to be the target of all that hate and abuse when they don’t have to?

The only reason I can think of is that they aren’t intentionally lying. They simply don’t know what defines veganism or the term vegetarian.

What do you think?

Are you scared of spiders?

Today, I tried to put away the laundry, and found that two garments were still a bit damp. One of them is a sort of pyjama top, with a cute sleepy dachshund pic in front. Inside, at the back where the fabric was still damp, a rather big spider crawled away from me.

My brave sister took the top out on to the balcony and shook it. It worked. The spider is gone, hopefully outside. At worst it’s in the living room. Still not in my laundry anymore. Yikes. That was scary.

If I’m alone at home, I try to put on my big girl pants and use a glass and some fairly sturdy paper and remove the uninvited guest myself, but I very much prefer not to have to deal with them.

What about you? Are you scared of spiders?
