Garden update

Standard

With beautiful weather right now

sun and warmer

more grows in the garden.

Every day more opens and

brings more colour in my garden

and more joy to me.

Daffodils and my first Tulip came out

The Fritilaria is also very fast

The red Camelia hedge is beautiful

My seeds in the Greenhouse are coming nicely too!

We still have lots of rain.

The ground is saturated.

Kew Gardens 41st Smile ♥

Standard

Another visit to Kew with a dear friend

To see the blooms progress.

Every day in Spring makes a difference.

We had a relaxing time

walking through the Camelia Walk

to see so many beautiful bushes.

We continued to the Cherry walk.

More cherry blossoms openend, still not all yet.

What a fantastic tree

We continued via the Davies Exploration House

with beautiful Australian Flora

to the Magnolia / Princess Walk

Magnolias are a work of art.

Did you know?
Magnolias, with their majestic beauty and delicate fragrance,
are older than bees.
These spectacular flowers date back some 95 million years,
making them among the oldest flowering plants to survive to this day.

Wherever life plants you

bloom with grace.

Let’s have a little rest in the midst of blooming trees.

I experimented with over exposure.

On our way out we walked behind the Palmhouse

through wonderful laden trees

in the evening sun.

Spring is
a lovely reminder of how
beautiful
change can truly be.

Leiden / The Netherlands

Standard

In the Netherlands we stayed in a very

beautiful quirky Bed and Breakfast in Leiden.

Leiden is a University town 30 minutes from Amsterdam.

It is a beautiful town with everything Amsterdam has,

yet it is smaller and a lot more peaceful.

Every goodbye is
the birth of a memory.

Dutch Proverb

Impressions from Leiden.

Rembrandt was born in Leiden 1606

The house was destroyed, yet there is a park

Our accommodation was an artist’s home.

‘Second Life Art’ is using second hand household articles

to make his art.

A true artist perseveres,
no matter what the critics say.

Here are some art pieces in our home from home.

Enough is better
than
too much.

We loved Leiden so much,

We will visit it again.

Tulips from Amsterdam

Standard

A short trip to Amsterdam / Keukenhof

I must have flowers,
always and always.

Claude Monet

We spent a day in Keukenhof

to see the most amazing tulips.

Keukenhof is a beautiful garden full of tulips

you can get lost in.

Amidst life's chaos,
find your happiness
in the simle elegance of tulips.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

No words needed for such beauty.

A tulip doesn't strife to impress anyone.
It doesn't struggle to be different than the rose.
It doesn't have to.
It is different.
And there is room in the garden for every flower.

You don't have to struggle to make your face different
than anyone else on earth.

You are unique
because you were created this way.

Marianne Williamson.

Tulips are poets of the garden,
whispering tales of strength and beauty
to those who listen.

Alice Hoffman

I have never seen so many tupils together. ( 7 million bulbs)

It is so worth a visit.

Enjoy every single tulip
