Date: 2022-04-05 06:38 pm (UTC)I’ve always wanted to do one with Red Dwarf. Weird shit happens on the ship all the time alien robots being flung there from another dimension isn’t that weird. Conveniently they’re turned human size because dimension stuff.
Firstly I can see Rimmer insisting Hook and Scrapper are good friends.
And Lister saying ‘they’re as gay as a Lil Naz X album’
Rimmer’s response is ‘don’t bring classical music into this!’
Because I’ve read Dwarf fics that look at the way the Dwarf writers accidentally wrote Rimmer readable as a gay man who represses his own sexuality using homophobic remarks. And I feel they add meaning to what were just cringe worthy gay jokes in some episodes.
Rimmer being forced to confront his sexuality via gay alien robots is too weird yet interesting to pass on.
Also Mixmaster would flirt with Lister likely leading to the most normal sex Lister has had for a while. Red Dwarf fans will know what I mean. But I plan for him to find out what the Decepticon’s goals are for their dimensions Earth.
The Cat would hide the whole time in protest of their colour scheme choices.
Kryton ends up spending the ‘episode’ tidying up after Scavenger and trying to track down the things he’s ‘borrowed’.

I also like the idea of crossing over Mixmaster specifically with some kind of like ASMR youtube cooking show. No idea what the rest of the Constructicons would be doing, but I definitely want like a very tame cooking show, led by Mixmaster, teaching you all how to make various energon snacks- leading up to the final punchline at the end of the last episode of someone coming onto his camera where he is livestreaming a very sedate cooking show and like, knocking something over, and the entire rest of the team showing up and just physically throwing them out a window or something LOL.

Date: 2022-04-07 06:33 pm (UTC)But I feel like something in the style of the Lego movies would be fantastic. Including having everything built out of Lego. It fits who the Constructicons are because obviously they’re builders. And it also simultaneously lends itself to wacky entertaining slapstick humour and impactful emotional scenes. Which would be really nice to see with characters who I will always argue deserve far more depth as individuals than they usually get in canon.
I think that sounds fantastic to be honest. Skywarp comes to mind as The interloper to me.

I think my top five picks are (in order) Swindle (ooh! expensive ingredients? maybe i'll just slip... some of those in my subspace......), Rumble or Frenzy (mm snacks), Skywarp (also mm snacks), Wildrider (mm chaos), or Starscream (mm snacks, for your SOON TO BE LEADER! LET ME GO!)

Date: 2022-04-06 09:57 am (UTC)But for anyone who hasn't read them the Transformers did 2 crossovers with My Little Pony (Constructicons were in the first one second comic https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Friendship_in_Disguise!_issue_2 ) which was pretty good I'd like to see more of them in that Crossover series, the art was just great and I'd low key watch every episode of transformers if the same people who did MLP redid it, but yeah more Constructicons there.
The Back to the Future Crossover had a lot of the Constructicons and was pretty good (even if IDW has something against Scrapper).
Anything with GI Joe and transformers is fun to me and I like the way Hook and Skywarp play off each other (at least in my writing lol) so somehow I'd like to see Skywarp back with the Joes after the end of IDW 1 and somehow gets put in charge of the Constructicons.
Totally random put the transformers back in the Marvel universe and do a random Avengers crossover Devastator vs spider-man how cool would that be?!
So I don't know random things like that seem fun to me.

Skywarp in charge of the Constructicons sounds a little to me like putting a toddler in charge of a bunch of school children. As in Skywarp isn’t a beacon of common sense and I think Scrapper is like 90% of the Constructicons self control.
The G1 transformers comics were actually done by Marvel and originally took place in the same continuously as the superhero comics. Can’t be cool with that changed but eventually it became its own separate universe.
I think it could be interesting the Constructicons meeting humans who actually a match for them because they have superpowers. Devastator versus Hulk anyone?

Lol true, though in later idw skywarp did seem to have become depressed and grown up some (at least for skywarp) so I would have been interesting to see what happened with him after the events of unicorn to see if he went back to his old self or not…bbbbbuuuuuuttttt this being about the constructicons I can agree with you on that specially in idw scrapper definelty held the group together. (Out of curiosity who’s the other 10%?)
Ok I new marvel had own them but didn’t no they’d been in the same continuity as the hero’s.
Oh yes devastator vs the hulk would be an epic battle!

Humans.
So. Now they're stuck in a hostile, post-apocalyptic world, in human bodies, and have to figure out how to survive, who the helpers and enemies are, and most importantly, find their way home. If they do find their way home, will they regain their forms, or will they be stuck as humans forever?
For anyone who hasn't played, there's a Weird Science! portion of the game involving talking brains in jars, sentient appliances, and mad scientists. One of the appliances is an evil toaster hell-bent on BURNING THE WORLD, if only he can find a big enough power supply. I've had this scenario in my head for a while now:
Scavenger: Bonecrusher was talking to the Toaster just now, and--
Hook: Walk that statement back, if you please. We are not Stunticons. None of us talks to inanimate objects.
Mixmaster: I-I do...sometimes.
Scavenger: Guys, it's easier if I show you. It's that toaster me and Long Haul found up at Cuckoo's Nest.
*they go in to look, where sure enough, there is a two way conversation happening*
Bonecrusher: Buddy, you're a fraggin' toaster. How dangerous can you be?
Toaster: A toaster is just a death ray with a small power supply. As soon as I figure out how to tap into the main reactors, I will burn the world!
Bonecrusher: Hate to break it to you, but this world already burned in nuclear fire.
Toaster: What? It...did? Well, fuck. That really puts a damper on the toaster's mood. Hmm. Where was I? Oh, right. Soon, the world will burn in nuclear fire. AGAIN!
Bonecrusher, to the others: Me and this guy are gonna get along just fine.
Scrapper: *rolling his eyes* Great that you're making friends, but we need to go and do (things). *they leave*
Toaster: Yes! Flee before my terrible power!
I've got a lot of good ideas for this one, but it's gonna have to wait till I finish my two longer projects. If you haven't played the game, that will not be a problem. The Constructicons would be discovering the world and those in it, how and works, and the reader will discover it all with them.
If you want to see him, he's in this video starting at 5:50. basically, the Toaster is a reference to the one in Red Dwarf, which adds an extra layer of hilarity.

And if you ever wrote this I’d definitely read it because it does sound fun. Part of me wonders what their stats in different skills would be in that case? Or at the very least which will be higher.
