Employees from PERI Glasgow teamed up with our customer STATOM Group Ltd's Northern colleagues last weekend for a very different kind of customer day — climbing Ben Lomond together in support of local Glasgow charities. Building strong relationships isn’t always about golf days, football and cricket. Sometimes it’s about asking customers what they genuinely want to do and creating space to connect in new ways. Statom were keen to get outdoors, take on a challenge and raise money for a good cause — so that’s exactly what we did. The team has already raised over £2,000 for local charities, and we couldn’t be prouder of everyone involved. Meet Gail McGarry (nee Beckett) EngTech MICE, Senior Formwork Designer based in our Leeds office. For the past 19 years, Gail has been an integral part of our Technical team, combining expertise in formwork design with a passion for supporting colleagues through her involvement in PERI's Diversity, Wellbeing and Social teams. We asked Gail what the best advice was that she's received since being at PERI and here's what she said..

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the PERI 2026 London 7‑a‑side Football Tournament. This was only our second year running the event, but it already feels like a tradition. Teams from Marney Construction, JRL Group Ltd, Robert Bird Group, J Coffey Group, 4D Structures Ltd., STATOM Group Ltd and Laing O'Rourke helped make the day a brilliant mix of sport, networking and industry camaraderie. After a competitive afternoon, the final came down to PERI and McGee — with PERI just edging the win. We know it’s always a bit awkward when the host takes home the trophy, but hopefully that just gives everyone even more reason to come back next year and try to take it off us. The wooden spoon was shared between Robert Bird Group (retaining it for the second year running) and Laing O’Rourke, while the Player of the Match trophy went to Alex from McGee for an outstanding performance throughout the tournament. We’re committed to building strong relationships across the sector, and sometimes the best way to do that is with a football, a sunny afternoon and a bit of friendly rivalry. Stone Yard is beginning to rise in the heart of Digbeth, where a major regeneration program will deliver 1,000 new homes.
