Your next opportunity may not exist yet. I’ve learned something over the years from showing up, sharing ideas, speaking, writing and having conversations across a lot of different industries. Social media becomes much more valuable when you stop treating it like a distribution channel. It’s not just about followers, finding opportunities, generating leads or promoting what you accomplished. 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗽 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 before anyone has a reason to ask. Share what you’re working on. Share what you’re learning. Talk about what you disagree with and explain why. Put an idea out there while you’re still working through it. You don’t have to be the expert in everything. You just have to be authentic about the things you actually know, question and care about. Over time, your posts become receipts, your ideas become a portfolio, and your conversations show people how you approach problems. More importantly, consistency creates familiarity and 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁. Your job may change. Your industry may change. Technology definitely will. Yet the thread behind how you think can remain recognizable. Eventually people stop only asking, “What role does this person fit?” They start asking, 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘂𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲? That’s a much more interesting question. Show up. Share the work. Share the thinking. Be yourself. Sometimes the opportunity that fits you best hasn’t been created yet. Someone may still need to see how you think before they realize they need it. #Leadership #AI #ThoughtLeadership #FutureOfWork #Learning Forbes Technology Council IAAI Partners InsightJam.com PEX Network Theia Institute ™ Thinkers360 IgniteGTM IA FORUM Intelligent Automation Community Gurus Direct 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲: The views within any of my posts, or newsletters are not those of my employer or the employers of any contributing experts. 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝. 𝐘𝐞𝐭 𝐍𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝. “𝑊𝑒 𝑐𝑎𝑛𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑎𝑣𝑜𝑖𝑑 𝑜𝑟 𝑠𝑡𝑜𝑝 𝑏𝑒ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑜𝑟𝑠 𝑖𝑓 𝑤𝑒 𝑑𝑜 𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑓𝑖𝑟𝑠𝑡 𝑟𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑔𝑛𝑖𝑧𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑦 𝑒𝑥𝑖𝑠𝑡.” A leadership team approves a new AI initiative. The use case is unclear, the data is not ready, ownership is undefined, and several people can already see the problems. Nobody wants to be the person slowing down innovation, so everyone says yes. The decision is recorded as alignment. Months later, the initiative fails for the same reasons everyone privately suspected from the beginning. This is the 𝐀𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐱. Coined by Jerry B. Harvey, it describes what happens when a group collectively chooses a path that its individual members do not actually support. Each person misreads everyone else’s silence as agreement, then participates in creating an outcome nobody wanted. In enterprise AI, silence can quickly become strategy, funding, contracts, integrations, and expectations. AI can even make the problem worse. Meeting summaries, sentiment analysis, and polished project documentation can create the appearance of consensus without proving that real alignment ever existed. 𝐀 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲. This is why leaders need to create 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬 where challenging the preferred answer is expected, not punished. Before approving the next AI initiative: ▫️ Run a pre-mortem and ask how the initiative could fail. ▫️ Gather individual perspectives before the group discussion begins. ▫️ Record dissent, assumptions, and unresolved questions alongside the final decision. ▫️ Separate “I understand” from “I agree” and “I am willing to commit.” AI can help cluster anonymous feedback, identify recurring concerns, compare possible outcomes, and preserve decision lineage. It cannot manufacture honesty or replace the courage required to speak up. This is the practical value of 𝐀𝐂𝐓: 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 is not the absence of objections. 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 is not a polished meeting summary. 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 means showing what was challenged, how the decision was made, and who owns what happens next. If your enterprise wants better AI outcomes, start by making it possible for people to tell the truth before silence becomes an expensive decision. I help organizations build the strategy, governance, operating models, and human behaviors required to deploy AI responsibly. If your enterprise is working through this, reach out. Let’s talk. #AI #Leadership #mindsetchange #Metacognition #HumanFirst #TheArtOfFlow Forbes Technology Council IAAI Partners InsightJam.com PEX Network Theia Institute ™ Thinkers360 IgniteGTM IA FORUM Intelligent Automation Community Gurus Direct 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲: The views within any of my posts, or newsletters are not those of my employer or the employers of any contributing experts. Rights Leakage: The Agent Risk Most Enterprises Aren’t Measuring “𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑒𝑛𝑔𝑒 𝑖𝑠 𝑛𝑜 𝑙𝑜𝑛𝑔𝑒𝑟 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑤ℎ𝑜 𝑙𝑜𝑔𝑔𝑒𝑑 𝑖𝑛. 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑒𝑛𝑔𝑒 𝑖𝑠 𝑢𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑛𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑤ℎ𝑜 𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑒𝑑, 𝑤ℎ𝑦 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑦 𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑒𝑑, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 ℎ𝑜𝑤 𝑎𝑢𝑡ℎ𝑜𝑟𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝑚𝑜𝑣𝑒𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑟𝑜𝑢𝑔ℎ 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑦𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑚.” Everyone is focused on what an agent can do. I’m more interested in what happens when that agent hands work to another agent. ▫️Then another. ▫️Then another. At some point, an action occurs that nobody directly approved, yet every step appeared authorized. I call that rights leakage. It’s the agent-era version of privilege creep, except it happens dynamically at runtime. This is why I believe Identity and Access Management is about to undergo one of its biggest shifts in decades. Historically, IAM answered two questions: ◻ Who are you? ◻ What can you access? Agentic systems introduce a third: ◻ Who actually performed the work? As organizations deploy agents, sub-agents, MCP connections, APIs, and autonomous workflows, identity becomes more than authentication. ▫️It becomes attribution. ▫️It becomes delegation. ▫️It becomes accountability. I suspect the future employee onboarding process looks something like this: “Welcome to the company.” “Here’s your laptop.” “Here’s your badge.” “Here’s your digital counterpart.” An agent operating under the same policies, permissions, and governance boundaries as the employee it supports. Not replacement, amplification. The next frontier is behavioral governance. Not simply: “Does Doug have access?” But: “Is this an action Doug would normally perform?” The future of trust may not be role-based. It may be behavior-based. Because in a world of humans and agents working together, identity is evolving from access management to trust management. Yet, when autonomous systems begin delegating work to other autonomous systems, execution lineage becomes just as important as authentication. Knowing who had access is useful. Knowing who acted is essential. #AI #EnterpriseAI #AgenticAI #IAM #CyberSecurity #Governance #DigitalIdentity #ExecutionLineage #MultiAgentSystems #AutonomousEnterprise Forbes Technology Council PEX Network Theia Institute InsightJam.com Intelligent Automation Community Thinkers360 IA FORUM 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲: The views within any of my posts or newsletters are not those of my employer or the employers of any contributing experts. They Built a Worm That Could Jump Between Machines. AI Agents Are Taking Notes... Researchers Tobias Scharnowski and Kristian Covic demonstrated something fascinating at Black Hat USA 2026. They took a Tesla Energy Universal Wall Connector and essentially created a virtual version of key parts of its firmware. This allowed them to “fuzz” it at scale, meaning automatically throw thousands of unexpected inputs at the software very quickly to find the ones that caused it to fail. On the physical charger, yet in their virtual environment, they could test more than 1,000 inputs per second. They took something painfully slow to test and turned it into something they could hammer continuously until a weaknesses surfaced. They found vulnerabilities reachable through the vehicle charge connector which then they demonstrated a way around secure boot, the mechanism designed to make sure a device starts only trusted software, potentially allowing a compromise to persist beyond normal firmware updates. …Then they went further. They demonstrated a worm concept where compromise could cross between charger and vehicle, making the vehicle part of the path to yet another charger. The charger trusted the vehicle enough to communicate. That connectivity created utility, but it also created a potential path for continuous propagation. Now apply that thinking to AI agents. We are building environments where agents call tools, exchange context, delegate work, invoke specialized agents and increasingly take actions without a human approving every step. An attacker may not need to compromise the entire AI environment. They may only need to compromise one trusted participant in the chain. Each trusted interaction creates another potential path to inherit malicious context, instructions, permissions or actions. In a multi-agent system, that starts looking a lot less like one compromised application and a lot more like a potential propagation problem. This is where identity alone starts becoming insufficient. ▫️We are spending enormous amounts of time teaching AI agents how to trust and work with one another. ▫️We should probably spend just as much time deciding when they should stop trusting one another. Because in an autonomous ecosystem, identity without state, provenance and lineage may only tell you who the compromised system used to be. #AI #CyberSecurity #AgenticAI #MultiAgentSystems #AILeadershi #TheArtOfFlow Forbes Technology Council IAAI Partners InsightJam.com PEX Network Theia Institute Thinkers360 IgniteGTM IA FORUM Intelligent Automation Community Gurus Direct Notice: The views within any of my posts, or newsletters are not those of my employer or the employers of any contributing experts.
