The arrival of around 40 Scottish agents into iad UK this summer has been a significant moment for our business and, we believe, for the continued evolution of the self-employed estate agency model in Scotland. So it’s fantastic to see Stephen Pye along with iad UK being recognised in the most recent Movers and Shakers post. Stephen has been right at the heart of bringing an established community of agents into iad, helping them make the transition while retaining the independence, relationships and businesses they’ve already built. For us, that’s the bigger story. This wasn’t simply 40 people changing brands. It was 40 established property professionals making a collective decision about how they want to build their businesses in the future. Our biggest *Agent Accelerator* attendance yet... and what a day it was. 👏 The energy in the room from our Scotland-based agents was incredible. Questions were flying, ideas were being shared and, most importantly, there was a genuine appetite to learn, develop and build even better businesses. What does it really take to get called out to more valuations and win more instructions? That was the focus of a fantastic webinar featuring some of the industry’s leading voices, including Christopher Watkin, Steph Vass, Michelle Gallagher and Iain White. Representing iad UK, our Head of Marketing and Communications, Cindy Slaughter, shared how marketing has evolved from being seen as a support function into one of the biggest competitive advantages an estate agent can have. The conversation explored why the agents who invest in their personal brand, communicate consistently and educate their audience are increasingly the ones winning instructions before they even step through the front door. Cindy also shared experiences from her own journey from avocado property into iad UK following the acquisition and how the processes, systems and marketing knowledge developed there are now helping to support more than 145 self-employed estate agents across the UK.
