  • A rebrand as carefully crafted as its stories. Apple TV+ had a recognition problem. People loved its shows but didn’t always know they came from Apple. So, it needed to shout louder. As AI creative tools rise, people are drawn to the visible proof of human hands at work. For a platform defined by the quality of what it makes, the shift created an opening.   Partnering with TBWA\Media Arts Lab, Apple TV created a logo from a glass-sculpted mnemonic, crafted meticulously by hand, and FINNEAS composed an original sonic identity to bring it to life. The redesign quietly slipped into an F1 press release, and a film showing the creation process was shared. The craft-driven work resulted in the best-ever quarter for new Apple TV subscriptions, with over 1 million from performance alone and a 16% lift worldwide. • A step in the right direction for Hajj pilgrims. Temperatures can reach 51ºC as pilgrims walk more than 60km on the annual trip to Mecca. Landor, Dubai partnered with Saudia and brrrº to protect those making the journey, producing the first new development in Ihram design for centuries. Advanced textile engineering and cooling technology hidden deep below the surface of the garment helped ‘The Coolest Ihram’ lower skin temperature by 2°C. All without altering the appearance or deep meaning of the Ihram itself.   The Ihram was included in the Saudi government’s official Hajj packages, using the one thing all pilgrims share to provide the one thing all pilgrims need  – and positioning Saudi Arabia as a nation committed to pushing innovation while honouring tradition.  The Coolest Ihram | Landor, Dubai | Saudia | 2026 🥉 1 Bronze Lion Get inspired by world-class Cannes Lions-winning work from the MENA region, and discover the very best creativity in PR and social responsibility, only on The Work. https://lnkd.in/ee9P7k9m

  • What does it feel like to win The Brief? Last year, 280 creatives worked on the same brief. But one team's creativity won them the top spot. We spoke to team The Adss during Cannes Lions 2026 to hear about their experience on creating for charity The Lotus Flower – and what it meant to make a difference with their work. The Brief is open to LIONS Learning alumni, and subscribers of The Work, Contagious and WARC. • Helping farmers from the ground up.  Over 13 million people work in agriculture across Thailand. But with over 300 different soil types, farming has become complex – with farmers working harder but facing weaker crops.  So after spending over 10 years collecting soil data, Tra Mongkut fertilizer decided to share this knowledge with local farmers through Soil Stay – a first-of-its kind B2B farm-stay programme. By opening its research farms and teaching farmers on soil identical to their own, knowledge became something they could see, trust, and apply.   Soil Stay received nationwide recognition and was featured at the Thailand Sustainability Expo 2025. More than 10,000 farmers attended Soil Stay, gaining practical soil knowledge tailored to their local conditions, and rooted in real results. At Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2026 - the world's biggest festival of creativity in advertising, marketing and tech - I asked Paul Coxhill, COO of LIONS, the organisation behind the festival, a question that every attendee ask themselves: how do you project-manage an event that welcomes 20,000 people that transforms the whole city of Cannes and where the largest advertising, marketing and technology companies in the world are spending hundreds of millions of dollars (a single beach "activation" costs about $5m for the week)? His answer was a masterclass in operational discipline. The post-event review starts the Monday after the festival closes. KPIs for the next cycle are locked in by September. And a permanent team in Cannes manages government, security, and local stakeholder relationships all year round. But the most important factor? Talented people, working with a repeatable methodology, and the discipline to learn from every single cycle. The latest episode of Shift Code is a must-watch for anyone managing complex programs at scale. • A design system in collaboration with the greatest creator of all time – nature.   Tourism in Brazil is growing, but this isn’t reflected in the Amazon as many see it as a giant forest.  In their research, FutureBrand found that the Amazon’s rivers aren’t just part of the landscape; they’re a means of connection. They structure daily life, shaping how cultures meet and evolve.  So, they decided to rebrand the Amazon. Through satellite images, ‘Amazonia’ identified an entire alphabet within the shapes of 25,000 km of Amazon rivers. First, the logo was assembled. Then, an open variable type system was created, allowing anything to be written.  By allowing the Amazon to define its own identity, the project repositioned it as a culturally rich destination, increasing its tourism relevance both within Brazil and internationally. • “It’s not our Award. It’s Venezuela's.” Simple ideas can change the world. And that’s exactly what led agency Rainbow Lobster to its first-ever win at Cannes Lions 2026, when 'The 600K Network’ took home not only the Titanium Lion, but the Grand Prix for Good. In collaboration with Comando Con Venezuela, the work mobilised more than 600,000 volunteers to collect and publish official election results in Venezuela using QR codes, creating a citizen-led verification system that challenged government attempts to manipulate election results. We spoke to Sebastian “Pana” Arrechedera, Founder & CEO of Rainbow Lobster, and Alberto Chumaceiro, Post Production Director at Fenix Media, who told us how creativity can overcome barriers. • Taking a sad song, and making it better. After 58 years of heartbreak, England fans weren’t feeling positive going into the 2024 Euros. The cycle had to be broken – so adidas stepped in to change the tune. Adidas' sponsored player 20-year-old Jude Bellingham had just led Real Madrid to win the Champions League, so his first international tournament was a moment not to miss. Taking the famous Beatles song ‘Hey Jude’, which Bellingham was named after, adidas created a national anthem through a film that took fans on a journey through previous losses, featuring cameos from Frank Lampard and David Beckham. It was a hit. ‘Hey Jude’ became the most-talked-about football ad of the tournament, reaching a third of England organically online and 44% of the country on TV. But the biggest result? ‘Hey Jude’ was sung by fans at every England game at the Euros inside stadiums – and continues to be sang at this year’s World Cup.
