A bowl of colour

I planted this bowl for a bit of colour on the front step.

First came the Kokopelli daffodils. Then the Grape Hyacinths. Someone commented that it was a real 'Ukraine' colour scheme.

Then all of a sudden the mini tulips burst forth.

These are called 'Little Beauty' and are quite unusual. They are supposed to be scented but so far I havent noticed any real scent.
I've not grown mini tulips before. Apparently they can naturalise so I'll put them somewhere under a tree when they have finished.

So many beautiful Spring flowers are appearing now.

Blossom

It is such a delight to see these Crab Apple buds opening. I wait in anticipation each Spring. The flowers won't last long, but their beauty will stay in my mind.

This is an old tree, and you might be able to spot tiny bits of silvery lichen on the stems.
Sadly it is not an edible Crab apple, but it does have pretty decorative fruits.
Day by day  the garden is producing new things to enjoy. Soon the Cherry tree will be wearing a tutu of pinkness.

Daffodil Woods in Herefordshire

Following Angela(Tracing Rainbows)

These are photos from friends who live near these wonderful woods of wild Daffodils.
It's known as the Golden Triangle, and people come from far and wide to see them.

So full of hope as we prepare for Easter

Can you imagine standing in the peace and quiet of these woods, hearing only birdsong ?
