A minimal blog theme for long-form writing. One serif reading column of about seventy characters, the article's own table of contents in the gutter beside it, a word count and a reading time, and a book mode that sets the piece in two columns like a printed page. Six palettes, each in light and dark, chosen by the reader and remembered. The typography is self-hosted: seven typefaces ship inside the theme, so there is no Google Fonts, no CDN, no analytics and no tracking of any kind, and nothing on the page is fetched from another domain. Every colour, size and rule is generated from the stylesheet of the Quire Ink blog engine rather than written by hand.

Teams

For each locale a theme can have translation editors and contributors. If a locale has no editor yet then you should probably make a request.
