Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week – Ricky Radtke, Denison
Denison senior forward Ricky Radtke (Willoughby, OH/University School) recorded a double-double to help the Big Red pick up an 80-72 win over Case Western Reserve on Saturday. Radtke tallied 25 points, making 9-of-14 field goal attempts and 7-of-9 free throw attempts, to lead all scorers in the win. The forward also pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds and recorded one block in just 28 minutes of action.
 
Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week – Brooke Hickman, Hiram
Hiram senior center Brooke Hickman (Mentor, OH/Mentor) helped guide the Terriers to a 2-0 week with wins over Thiel (88-55) and Penn State Shenango (83-63). Against the Tomcats, Hickman tied her career-high with 30 points and gathered a career-high 20 rebounds, making her the first player in program history to record at least 30 points and 20 rebounds in a single game. The senior also tallied four assists and one block in the 33-point win. In the victory over the Lions, Hickman recorded 18 points, seven rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal. On the week, the senior averaged 24 points, 13.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.5 blocks per game, while shooting 19-of-30 from the floor and 10-of-19 from the charity stripe.
 
NCAC Milestones & Records (Dec. 9-15)
 
Oberlin, Men’s Basketball – Sophomore guard JJ Gray (Huntington Beach, CA/Fountain Valley) posted a career-high 28 points after making 12-of-23 field goal attempts in the Yeomen’s 78-65 win over Kalamazoo on Tuesday.
 
Wooster, Men’s Basketball – Senior guard Jamir Billings (Lorain, OH/Lorain) broke the program's all-time steals record, surpassing Antwyan Reynolds' (1998-02; 259) and scored his 1,000th point in Wooster’s 84-53 win over DePauw on Sunday. Billings recorded three steals to become the all-time steals record holder with 261 so far this season and he also scored 15 points in the win to become the 45th Fighting Scot to score 1,000 points at Wooster … The Wooster men’s basketball program was most recently ranked eighth by D3hoops.com, marking the program’s first top-10 ranking since 2016.
