Magic Iris Cards!

 

Har enda ingen god stol til scrapperommet, og har ikke kunnet lage noe på kjempelenge... men jeg hadde heldigvis disse to jeg ikke har blogget enda :) Lagde dem med en 'magisk' åpne/lukke mekanisme dies for en tid tilbake. Penny Black kortet har ikke blitt vist frem online før, (Gorjuss kortet var til Scrappesykens onlinetreff i midten av oktober) så det er min DT inspirasjon denne gang for Creative Fingers #198.

I still don't have a good chair for my craftroom, and haven't been able to create anything for sooo long now... so its just lucky I still had not blogged theese! :) Made two fun 'magic iris' cards a while back, and since the Penny Black cat has not been shown online before, it is my DT card for this fortnights challenge #192. at Creative Fingers.

Stamps/Images: Penny Black clearstamp set 'Purrfect day'. Gorjuss 'Sweet tea', 'the fox', 'SG The Hatter', 'Mini No29 The Hatter' Santoro rubber & clearstamp sets.
Papers: I prefer Canson Montvale aquarelle paper (200 g/m coldpressed) for my motifs. Bazzill cardstock. Plain white cardstock. Panduro Hobby 'Circus' Designerpapers. The Gorjuss main motif is cut out from the packaging containing the stamp. misc scrap papers.
Embellishments: Paper Ribbon - shiny copper/brown.
Tools: I always use my Scor-Pal to score & fold my cards. My distress tools from Ranger Ink is always in use ~ Tim Holtz® Mini Ink Round Blending Tool & the Inkssentials Ink Blending Tool and Foams. EK Success® Whale Of A Punch 'Large Circle 1.75'. .
Stencils/Embossingfolders: ...
Dies: Lawn Fawn 'Magic Iris', 'Magic Iris Add-On', 'Magic Iris Scalloped Add-On' and 'Magic Iris Camera Add-On'. Nellie Snellen 'Magic Stamping Card Die Set' Heart.
Essentials/Adhesives: Bonefolder. mini Gluedots. High-Tack adhesive tape Sookwang Scor-Pal tape &/or Red tape. 3D foam/mosegummi. Rangers Glossy accents.

Techniques/Mediums: I used misc. Luminarte Twinkling H2o's Shimmering Watercolors, and Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads & markers to watercolor and distress image and papers.

Goth Girl ♥ Birthday card

Jeg ville lage et bursdagskort som både var jentete og goth samtidig ~ så jeg var heldig og fikk denne kjempestilige goth-jenta fra vår sponsor SLS lines som motiv til mitt DT kort for Creative Fingers #116. Må bare beklage at jeg har vært lite å se rundt i bloggland i det siste, slitt med helsa, og akkurat nå har jeg også hatt behandling for psoriasis på hendene med UV-lys 3 ganger i uka, to timers biltur hver gang.. Så slitsomt, men oi for en forandring! Har ikke hatt så fine hender på 15 år! Så tommeln opp for det :)

I have to apologize first of all for my absence around blogland, and commenting which has been sporadic at best. My health has not been so good, and the last weeks has been especially taxing. Having psoriasis treatment with UV lights on my hands three times a week for barely 3 minutes each time - but having to travel two hours for it anyway is very tiring, when my back is already bothering me and other fibromyalgia pains. Just happy migraines been playing nice, knock on wood ;) But my cracked hands are almost completely healed, not looked this good in 15 years, so I'm very happy about that! (It used to be such a big bother to get ink in those cracks too, looked even worse *lol*)

I wanted to make a both cool girly and goth themed card, and this digistamp from SLSLines was just perfect ♥ It does not show up very good it the photos, but it's a very textured card, with acrylic paint dabbed through stencils, bling and silver ribbon, embossed details and heatembossed text. 
I'm totally in love with my new Marianne Designs die! That gorgeous frame, so detailed and cut a perfect result on my watercolor paper.

Papers: DCWV 'Rock star' 12x12 paper pad (with silver foiled details). Santoro Gorjuss 6x6 paper pad. Canson Montvale aquarelle papers (200 g/m coldpressed).

Embellishments/Tools: Marianne Design Creatables dies 'Anja's Oval LR0376', and 'Folder DF3413 Hearts die'. Sizzix Bigz XL Die 'Card Center Step' by Lori Whitlock. Tim Holtz mini coll. Stencils #8.
Techniques: My distress tools from Ranger Ink is always in use! ~ Tim Holtz® Mini Ink Round Blending Tool & the Inkssentials Ink Blending Tool and Foams. I used misc. Luminarte Twinkling H2o's Shimmering Watercolors, and Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads & markers to watercolor and distress image and papers, and for stenciling. Dabbed some black acrylic paint through stencils, and used sandpaper on some edges to get out the white core. 
To get great result with the heatembossing of the text, I used Versafine Onyx black inkpad, my MISTI stamping tool, Distress Embossing inkpad and Rangers clear embossingpowder. And added some more shine with Glossy accents.

Ariel ~ Mermaid dreams under the Sea..

NB: This is a blogpost feauturing my niece's creations!

Jeg har noen flotte kreasjoner fra niesen min å vise frem! ♥ Jeg syns hun er kjempeflink til å være 10 år (11 år neste mnd.), men hun maser hele tiden om å bli like flink som meg, litt utålmodig kansje ~ de tre kortene nederst er fra 2013-2014 så øvelse gjør mester :)

Har hjulpet litt til med å fortelle hvor hun kan legge skygger, og jeg har tegnet og malt en havbunn for henne, hun fortalte hvilke stempler hun ville ha og hvor de skulle være. Hun har dilla på havfruer denne jenta! Men så har hun jo navnet til selveste den lille havfruen Ariel også da ♥
Ville vært en flott bursdags overraskelse om hun vant i en av utfordringene!

Theese creations are not by me but made by my niece, mostly all by her self ~ aren't they lovely? She's fascinated by mermaids, no wonder really as she is named Ariel ♥ On her mermaid painting I helped with drawing a ocean floor behind the stamps, which I also placed, after her instructions to which ones and where. And as she watched me paint shadows on the stampmotifs I was doing alongside her, she then imitated shadows here :) 

The cards below are from 2013-2014. So fun to see her artistic skill progress as she gets older! Keeping within the lines and fussycutting is a good skill to have, and something you ought to be able to do by her age. She's actually turning 11 next month! So it would be a fun surprise if she won in a challenge with her creation ♥
