Iran Puts Qatar On Notice Over Missing IRGC Pilots; 'Secret' Demand Out
Iran has put Qatar under pressure over the fate of missing Iranian pilots, with Tehran demanding that the pilots be returned and calling for injured or sick detainees to be moved to a hospital on land. Iranian military official Mohammad Baqerzadeh also urged the International Committee of the Red Cross to send an air ambulance to Qatar. Doha, however, has denied holding Iranian pilots and says they violated Qatari airspace earlier this year. Qatar has invited an Iranian delegation to review its search-and-rescue operations, but Tehran has previously accused Doha of delaying the investigation. The dispute now threatens to deepen tensions between Iran and Qatar.
