Iran Delivers Biggest Blow To Trump, Set To Scrap Treaty Blocking Its Nuclear Power Bid?
Iran has issued one of its strongest nuclear warnings yet amid escalating tensions with the United States. Iranian MP Ravanbakhsh said Tehran is preparing to withdraw from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), arguing there is no reason for Iran to remain in the treaty after U.S. attacks. He also said a proposal to leave the NPT and revise Iran's defense doctrine will be formally submitted to parliament. Another Iranian lawmaker, Akhlaqi-Amiri, has also called for Iran's withdrawal from the NPT, citing what he described as U.S. attacks on Iran and repeated violations of commitments.
