iit bombay ePG Diploma 2026: iit bombay has launched an e-Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence through its Educational Outreach initiative. The programme covers computer science, artificial intelligence and machine learning, including Generative AI, LLMs, AI Agents, RAG, computer vision and deep learning. Learners can complete six courses in one year or take up to three years. Successful learners will receive iit bombay e-alumni status.

iit bombay has announced that Associate Professor Karthikeyan Lanka has been selected for the National Academy of Sciences, India Young Scientist Award 2026. Prof. Lanka, who joined iit bombay in 2019 and became Associate Professor in 2025, holds bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in Civil Engineering. India’s presence in global higher education has expanded significantly, with 52 Indian institutions featuring in the QS World University Rankings 2027, compared with 11 in 2015. The latest rankings show gains beyond the IITs, with 26 institutions improving their positions. The Centre attributed the progress to NIRF, NEP 2020, institutional expansion and higher education reforms.

IIT Kharagpur will open registrations for JAM 2027 on September 5, with the application window remaining active until October 12. The national-level entrance test is scheduled for February 14, 2027, across seven subjects and two sessions. The institute will release the information brochure on August 22, while results are expected on March 18.
