Amrita Rao is an Indian film actress and model who primarily been part of Bollywood as well as the South film Industry. She made her screen debut in ‘Ab Ke Baras (2002)’, for which she was nominated for the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award in 2003.

She appeared in ‘Vivah’(2006). Films like ‘Welcome to Sajjanpur’ (2008) and ‘Main Hoon Na’ (2004) earned her a nomination for the Stardust Best Actress Award and a Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award. She has also made special appearances in ‘Heyy Babyy’(2007), ‘Life Partner’ (2009) and ‘Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai’ (2010). She was also titled as "Bollywood's quintessential girl next-door" by various media outlets. Times Of India named Rao one of its "50 Most Desirable Women of 2011." She was last seen in the 2019 Bollywood movie ‘Thackeray’.

Rao married her boyfriend, Anmol, a Radio Jockey after 7 years of dating on 15 May 2016 in Mumbai. The couple have welcomed their first child earlier in November, this year.
