Can money buy happiness? Economists, psychologists, and philosophers have long debated this question. The answer, surprisingly, is yes, but with a caveat. Money buys happiness only up to a point, and only if it is spent intelligently. Yet, look around. Homes are getting bigger, gadgets smarter, holidays grander, and wardrobes fuller. We are buying more than any generation before us. So why do we not seem happier? When does money stop buying happiness?
