Sohail Khan clears the air: "No Ozempic, no fat burners" behind his new look

When Sohail Khan walked out of the Alliance house looking noticeably leaner, it didn't take long for the internet to start guessing. Was it a strict diet? A trainer's magic? Or one of those weight-loss injections everyone's suddenly talking about?Turns out, the real story is far less glamorous and far more human. The actor has opened up to Hindustan Times about what actually happened behind the scenes, and it has nothing to do with quick fixes.

A rocky start inside the house

Sohail entered Prime Video's Alliance, hosted by Kunal Kemmu as a wildcard, stepping into reality TV for the very first time. And like most newcomers, the adjustment wasn't easy. He admitted feeling claustrophobic in the early days, still finding his footing in an environment built entirely around strategy, alliances, and constant social maneuvering.Just as he was settling in, things took a rougher turn he came down with a stomach bug within the first week itself. Not exactly the ideal start to a competition where energy and mental sharpness matter every single day.

Why he chose to stay

Here's where the story gets a little heartwarming. Despite being unwell almost immediately, Sohail didn't pack his bags and walk out. He credited the people around him the warmth, the concern, the sense of camaraderie that built up quickly inside the house, for keeping him invested.
“I just needed to control what I was eating, as I wanted to be a part of the challenges and be around the new family and friends that I made till the last day, and now for a lifetime. So no Ozempic, no fat burners, I'm only taking pure and loads of love and affection from everyone.”In his own words, the love and support he received, not just around his health but throughout his time there, is what made him stick around for five whole weeks.

The truth about his weight loss

This is the part everyone was really waiting for. Sohail didn't sign up for any drastic diet plan or medical intervention to shed those kilos. Instead, it was simple, old-fashioned discipline; he consciously watched what he ate so his body could keep up with the physical and mental demands of the show.He wanted to be fully present for the tasks, the challenges, and the day-to-day grind of the competition, and that meant eating smart rather than indulging. As he has put it himself, there was no Ozempic, no fat burners involved, just mindful eating and, as he lightly joked, plenty of love and affection from the people around him. It's a refreshingly honest answer in an age where celebrity weight loss almost always invites speculation about shortcuts.

Emotional moments and the season's end

Beyond the physical transformation, Sohail's stint on Alliance carried some genuinely emotional beats. His ex-wife, Seema Sajdeh, also came onto the show later in the season and had a touching conversation about their relationship and family for viewers who have followed their journey over the years. As for the competition itself, Alliance has just wrapped up, with Mini Mathur winning the title of the winner and Aly Goni as the runner-up.
