Mallika Sherawat responds to Shalini Passi's comment on her 'fake' green dress: 'My figure, glamour is creating jealousy, I understand'
Mallika Sherawat has addressed the buzz over her green outfit on The Traitors Season 2 after Shalini Passi raised questions about whether the dress was genuinely from Dolce & Gabbana. The actress took to Instagram to share a video about the controversy, appearing to respond to the criticism with humour rather than directly engaging with the allegation. Referring to the outfit as the biggest issue currently surrounding the reality show, Mallika said, “We need to address the most important issue on Traitors right now, my green dress,” Mallika began. She admitted that she had never imagined her outfit would generate so much discussion.“I mean, mujhe toh realise hi nahi hua ki meri dress itna bada topic of discussion ban jayegi,” she said.Mallika then appeared to take a playful swipe at those commenting on her appearance, adding, “If my dress, my figure, my glamour is causing a little bit of jealousy, I understand. Enjoy!”Keeping the tone light, she also captioned the post, “Dress meri, discussion sabka.”While Mallika did not mention Shalini by name, she also stopped short of directly responding to the specific claim about the dress’s authenticity. Likewise, there has been no public confirmation from Dolce & Gabbana regarding whether the outfit is an authentic piece from the luxury fashion house. The controversy originated during a discussion on The Traitors Season 2 involving Shalini Passi, Shweta Tiwari, Rida Tharana and Rhea Chakraborty.
After Mallika mentioned that she had selected a green dress for the day, Shalini reportedly questioned whether it was actually a Dolce & Gabbana creation.

“Just a week ago, I wore a green and gold dress of Dolce, and it is not like this. I went to adjust her mic and saw the brand. She is lying,” Shalini said on the show.Shalini also highlighted her long association with luxury fashion, explaining that she had been wearing designer clothing since she was around 17 or 18. She further mentioned owning several custom-made designer outfits. So far, neither Mallika nor Dolce & Gabbana has publicly verified the origins or authenticity of the disputed dress. What began as a fashion-related exchange on the show has since become one of the talking points surrounding the ongoing second season, with Mallika’s cheeky response adding another layer to the controversy.
