In Himachal Pradesh, the recent monsoon season has led to a tragic loss of 183 lives, with damages amounting to Rs 972 crore. Among the fatalities, 79 were due to natural disasters, and 104 resulted from road accidents. Public infrastructure bore the brunt of the financial toll, as the PWD reported significant destruction. Eighty-three homes were demolished, while 242 others suffered partial damage.
