Dehradun: A 21-year-old man died after allegedly falling on a glass door during a playful wrestling bout with a friend in Raipur area of Dehradun. Three men were arrested on Sunday in connection with the incident, police said.Dehradun SSP Pramendra Dobal said the incident took place late Saturday night when Iftikhar Alam, who ran a garments shop in Indira Market, closed his shop and went to meet his friend Anas Ahmed, 22, at his office in Raipur.“Two other friends, Arish Talib, 28, and Javed Ahmed, 23, both residents of Raipur, were also present. The four were joking around when Alam and Anas decided to bet on who could finish a litre of milk in one go. After drinking the milk, they began wrestling playfully to test their strength,” Dobal said.During the bout, Alam lost his balance and fell against a glass door behind him. The door shattered and a piece of glass pierced his right armpit, causing excessive bleeding, the SSP said.“The three men took Alam to a nearby hospital, where he died. Following a complaint by Alam’s family, an FIR has been registered against the three under BNS section 106 (causing death by negligence). All three were arrested on Sunday. A probe is underway,” he added.
