Class 11 student dies by suicide at home in Bhopal’s TT Nagar
Bhopal: A 17-year-old boy, a Class 11 student, allegedly died by suicide at his home in TT Nagar on Friday evening, police said.
The deceased was identified as Ritesh Pal. He lived with his parents and two elder brothers at Jawahar Chowk and had recently taken admission to a govt school in Nehru Nagar.
According to TT Nagar police, Ritesh returned from school in the evening and went to his room after telling his mother he would have food later.
A few minutes later, a friend came to meet him. When he went inside, he found Ritesh hanging and raised an alarm. Family members and neighbours brought him down and rushed him to hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Police have registered a case of unnatural death and started an investigation. No reason has been established so far. Statements of family members and acquaintances will be recorded to ascertain the circumstances, police said.
