Ahmedabad: AMC junior clerk caught accepting Rs 2,000 bribe

Ahmedabad: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught Jay Kulkarni, a junior clerk in AMC’s property tax department (central zone, Danapith), accepting a Rs 2,000 bribe. He had allegedly demanded Rs 5,000 to register the complainant as the occupant in property tax records, of which Rs 3,000 was reportedly already paid. The complainant then approached ACB, who set a trap and caught the clerk accepting the remaining amount at the AMC staff canteen.
