Nayanthara fans have a double treat as the actress will be seen in two projects releasing in the upcoming week. Recently, during the promotions of her upcoming romantic drama ‘Hi’, she spoke about her early days and revealed how much she earned from her first job.

Nayanthara talks about her first job

During a conversation with Pearle Maaney, Nayanthara was asked about her first job and first salary; the ‘Jawan’ actress said she started her journey in the entertainment industry as a model.
She recalled, “I think it was for Vanitha's cover shoot. I think I was called for a fashion program.”The actress then revealed that she earned around Rs 2,000-3,000 for the assignment.

After hearing about Nayanthara’s first salary, Pearle Maaney shared a funny story about her own first earning.
Pearle said, “I had got Rs. 500 for cutting my father's nails.”

Nayanthara’s upcoming films

Nayanthara will be seen in two distinct projects releasing next week. She will be seen in the much-awaited Yash starrer gangster action thriller ‘Toxic’ where she will play a key role. She is expected to be seen as the sister of Yash’s character as Ganga, which is set to release on August 26.


Meanwhile, she will also be seen in the romantic drama ‘Hi’ opposite Kevin, which is scheduled to release on August 28.


‘Hi’ is directed by debutant Vishnu Edavan and follows an unusual love story that takes an unexpected turn after marriage.


The film also stars Prabhu, Radhika Sarathkumar, K. Bhagyaraj and Poornima Bhagyaraj.

Nayanthara’s career

Nayanthara started her acting career in 2003 with the Malayalam film ‘Manassinakkare’. Filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad spotted her photograph in Vanitha magazine. She was initially interested in modelling and had no plans to become an actress. However, she accepted the role of Gauri in the film. The success of ‘Manassinakkare’ brought her attention, and she later appeared in films including ‘Vismayathumbathu’ and ‘Natturajavu’.
